Whats the story on Darrell Jackson? Is he due back anytime soon?

I read that he's at least a couple of weeks away from playing. They are going to evaluate his knee next week to see if he can resume practice. After that, who knows how long it will take to get into the lineup?

I also saw that Jerhome Urban was cut. Don't know the details but the Sea-birds are getting thin at WR.

Here is the story on Urban

Quote:
The Seahawks released wide receiver Jerheme Urban on Tuesday after he suffered a fracture in his left foot.

The Seahawks invoked an injury waiver Urban signed when he returned to the team Oct. 4, and no one felt good about the way his third season with the Seahawks ended. Not the team, which concluded that not exercising the injury waiver in this case would undermine its ability to use a similar waiver in the future.

Is Jimmy Ferris still available?

BTW, good thing the Giants kicker shit the bed on Sunday.

I am still not sold on Hasselbeck. He made some dismal throws when his team really needed him to step up b/c the Giants were keying on Alexander and stopping him on those zone plays that, until yesterday. he had been breaking. They could've easily lost this game (not to mention the SF game) and if they would've, it would've been on his shoulders IMHO.

Jurevicus = best free agent pickup in the league.

Josh Brown has become a $ kicker.

Good to see the Hawks beat the hell out of Shockey. It was funny watching him celebrate when he thought Feeley's kick was good only to watch him with the "WTF?!?!?!" look on his face when it came up short.

If this game was in NY, Giants win by 2 TD minimum.

Uco2002,
Seahawk site says sold out for the Colts' game on the 24th. Any connections or reasonable alternatives for tics?

LMAO at Shockey watching that. as far as the score, you could argue Seattle did win by 2 TD. Funny the NFL told Holmgren the ref screwed up those 2 calls, but they can't admit it in public. I guess when it comes to the NFL it doesn't matter if you are right or wrong, all that matters is what you admit.

Seattle has a ticket exchange - given that it is Christmas Eve there is bound to be season ticket holders looking to unload:

I didn't watch the Seattle/San Fran game but I did watch the Cowpoke game. I couldn't help but think that those were both the type of games that Seattle would have lost in years past. I'm still not a believer, mind you, but I am paying attention. If they can get D-Jack on the field at close to 100%, they will be very dangerous.

One thing that I came away from after watching the Cowboy game is just how much a football town Seattle really is. That crowd was insane - reminded me of Husky Stadium back in the Don James era.

I think they are just thankful to have something to root for b/c to Huskies are a long way from the Don James era.

God, what a beatdown of the Eagles. That is probably the most anemic QB play I have ever seen in the NFL. Seattle was within four yards of scoring 4 defensive touchdowns. This game is actually pretty meaningless except it might the Hawks a little mental boost to finally win a game out of the east coast where they haven't had much success. I just hope this team doesn't get overconfident only to get crushed by the Colts and have their psyche irrevocably damaged going into the first round of the playoffs.

Seattle Times is reporting that Darrell Jackson will likely play for Seattle on Sunday. They'll practice him hard on Friday and if he comes through that ok, he'll play.

I heard that the Pacific Lutheran was going to be on the fireld against the 49'ers as Holmgren wanted his guys rested for the playoffs.

My prediction: Alexander will go for 200/4 vs. the Niners in 2 1/2 quarters:

A. To make up for lost yards in the Philly game

B. He knows he will have to get them early b/c Holmgren won't play him more than two series in the second half if the Hawks are up big (which they will be).

There is no way Holmgren will start resting players unless they have a huge league like on Monday. When you think about it, the Seahawks still have alot of work to do. Chicago is only 1 game behind Seattle, so the Hawks need to win every game till the playoffs to get a 1st round bye and home field.

20 makes a good point - the verdict is still very much out on this team yet. I do, however, think the Hawks TKO the 49ers in the 2nd round.

How weird will it be if the Colts and Seahawks both win out and play in Seattle on the last Sunday of the season with the Colt's undefeated season on the line? If both teams have home field advantage locked up, the 16-0 season will be decided by backups on both teams. That will be strange.

I think they will both play to win that game. Starters all the way. That's why I hope the Colts lose but still have home field locked up before they come to Seattle. That way Indy will rest their starters. I don't want to see four quarters of Manning & Co. until Superbowl Sunday.
