Yes, I know it was the Texans, but it was still pretty sweet. They got the cover and they got the over. That record would look great if Josh Brown makes that kick against the 'Skins.
They need to go ahead and sign the stadium over to Alexander right now.
Dallas will be a real test. If the Hawks beat the Cowboys, this team will be for real and can go far. Remember, they've already beaten the Falcons and Rams.

Whats the story on the guy in the nightclub incident?
It sounded like a very sloppy start to the beginning of the game with a flag being thrown before or on every play. I was driving and didn't get to see the game at all.
Seattle had better re-sign Alexander. If they don't I am sure Derrick Fenner can run for them at the age of 40.

lol @ Fenner comment
I don't know the details about the nightclub deal, although the "blunt head trauma" smells like a pistol whip to me. Obviously that sucks on a personal level, but as far as football goes it realy suck as well because Hammer is a key part of a defense that really can't afford to lose ANY key contibutors.
From what Ive read, Hamlin unfortunatlly started the fight. He was leaving, put his hand on a guy and said "Exuce Me." The guy then said "Quit pushing" and Hamlin socked him.
Evidently, somebody hit him with a metal "no parking" sign. Sounds like he may have got jumped after the altercation in front of the club. Then the guy that he got into the altercation with was found dead in Seward Park later in the morning. This is something to keep and eye on - who killed the guy? If it's a Hamlin associate things could get uglier in Seattle.
For those that haven't been down there late at night, this is nothing new for Pioneer Square. The city and some of the clubs actually had to install video surveillance systems after a couple of murders down there a few years back. I never had any problems but I have seen guns pulled and many, many fights outside Pioneer Square bars.

What the hell was Romanowski doing in Seattle getting into such a roids rage that he picked up a no parking sign and hit Hamlin?

Wow - this thing just keeps getting weirder. Some witnesses are saying that Hamlin's brother got assaulted outside the club and that Hamlin was trying to protect him when he got knocked to the ground and hit with the sign.
The guy that was found dead is a convicted murderer that was in violation of his curfew. They found a dummy in his bed at the half-way house that he was staying at. The dead guy's brother says that he dropped him off at the club about an hour before the incident with Hamlin.
Quote:
Milam, the man found dead a few hours after the altercation at Larry's, had been convicted of first-degree manslaughter, robbery, assault and a host of drug-possession counts. He had spent more than nine years in prison.
In 1994, Milam was charged with murder but pleaded guilty to manslaughter for shooting another man five times following a dispute over a craps game in Seattle's Pratt Park. Court papers describe Milam — an aspiring rapper also known as "T-Kidd" — as a member of the Black Gangster Disciples gang. His victim was a member of the rival Crips gang. An assault conviction in Yakima also involved a shooting, according to court papers.

I saw today where Holmgren has ordered all players to stay away from Pioneer Square. Had the seahawks security ever had a list of where not to go in the area? If it's been bad you would think the security would tell players to stay out of there or pay a fine. I know that when La Russa was managing the Athletics he would fine a player if they drove through a bad part of town.

It doesn't sound like the organization had any restrictions on them at all.
I'm not all that familiar with the place that they were at - Larry's - but it has a reputation as a hip hop joint with a rough crowd. IMHO, it's pretty poor judgement for Seahawk players to be celebrating a win in a place like that.

im a sonics fan, a mariners fan, a husky fan and since 2003 a Griz fan. But I will never, ever, ever be a Seahawks fan. Why? They choke every year, they have never had a player in my lifetime who can has any kind of star power and they will not get to the Super Bowl in my lifetime. There's the same talk every year..."This is our year" It was supposed to be thier year in 1998. Haven't all you Seahawks fans had enough? They won't get past the 1st round of the playoffs and they sure as hell won't beat the Cowboys this Sunday. Now go root for a real team, like the Packers.

Seahawks overcoming the Holmgren/bye week jinx and beat the Cards. Back to a 2 game advantage in the division with the 2nd place Rams a'calling next Sunday. I will be at that game (hell yes) and, again, the 'Hawks need to sign Alexander to an incredible deal.

Seahawks need to get a new deal on Alexander right now. If they wait until the end of the season they may just have to give him that much more. I think I am going to jinx it all for you Seahawk fans but maybe this is the year they were talking about in SI last year. the only teams really lloking good in the NFC are Carolina, the New York Football Giants, and Atlanta. Could be interesting.

From what I understand, the hawks and Alexander are working under the understanding that his contract would be negotiated at the end of the year based on his performance this year. It will be a huge deal.
That Giants game in three weeks is shaping up to be a huge matchup. I think it will be very tough for the Seahwks to handle a back like Barber, but I am glad as hell that game is at home. I hope the Hawks O is still rolling at that point. The D has actually played better than I ever expected, but the quality of comp hasn't necessarily been top shelf in all cases. Atlanta and Dallas are quality wins, and they played well enough to beat Washington, but man our division (except for us) sucks.

Whats the story on Darrell Jackson? Is he due back anytime soon?
