I think I heard a rumor that the Billings West (??) QB has said he will go to the Griz next year....something to that effect....just heard a passing comment...

That would make me a happy camper. I've seen him play and he's a stud.

Was Washington seriously injured on that last play? (take a knee mmkay?)
And also, how in the *#$( did ISU win that game? PSU took the lead with like 22 seconds left!
cannonball wrote:It is wonderful we won today. Would have been a lot more wonderful if our offense would have scored. NAU is the worse team in the conference and our offense puts up 0000000000000 points on the board!!!
Hand off to Hllliard on 1st and 2nd down and pass incomplete on 3rd. Sound familiar?? NAU sure thought so. Punt, punt, punt. Bobby, you, we need a new offensive coordinator. Current boy has no, know, no, imagination.
We need a change in play calling before the State game or we are in big trouble. The Mickey Mouse play calling we saw today ought to work againts Sac State, hopefully, the second worse team in the conference, but beyond that Bobby, your offenfsive play calliing is just that , OFFENSIVE!!!!!!!!

I didn't think the play calling was really the problem today. Bergquist just had a real rough day (10-26, 1 int, for 80 yards) which allowed NAU to focus exclusively on stopping Hilliard. I'm glad the Griz D and Special teams stepped up and got the job done today. I imagine Bergquist will have a much better game against Sac St. next week. He was just off this week. The Griz still won, and that's all that matters really
CatzWillRise - As for Washington's injury, it looked like he landed on his right shoulder, and was holding his right arm odd when he walked off the field again :( I hope its not too serious.

Its pretty amazing in my opinion for a freshman to be starting for a top 1-AA team like he is. He'll be a great one of the Griz I bet, but may have a occasional bad game or two..he's only a fresman..and as you said might've been sick, and did have a concussion last week. We do need a experienced backup behind him though incase we are down and he's having a rough game, or gets hurt. Having Washington get hurt on the last play of the game like that is a bad thing.. Hope he's alright.Dexter X wrote:HighLine wrote:But I'm sure someone posted that Cole was sick....that would have an effect too.
