I am a 49er fan and have been for over 20 years. But I find myself between rock and a hard spot right now. I want them to do well and win ball games but I also want them to lose their asses this year. The main reason can be summed up in two words, Reggie Bush. The question I have is if you were the Houston Texans, 49ers, Titans would you lose on purpose knowing the possibility of obtaining possibly the best college player since Barry Sanders. I almost think that is what he niners are up to. They can't be that bad. They have to be losing on purpose. Wow how times can change when I have gone from a fan that was expecting Super Bowls to a Fan that hopes for Draft Picks.
As a Packer fan, I have to agree 100%. I still cheer for them to win, but when they don't I'm not as angry as I used to be, cause that means they are still in the Reggie Bush sweepstakes! I swear sometimes they lose on purpose for this reason, they've had a chance to win almost every game they've lost. Now we just need the Texans to win a game to get us back in a tie for the first pick!
I don' think there is a chance in hell the 49ers can sign Bush. His signing bonus alone may be more that York is willing to pay. They need some O linemen or they shoul dstart ordering a pine box for their QB. Look for them to trade any pick they have.
I doubt that very much. If they sign bush they can trade one of your high dollar backs for a lineman or two. They wont need a Frank Gore and a Barlow. Also no team that gets the first round pick will pass up possibly the best college football player since Barry Sanders. It is much easier to find lineman as diamonds in the rough than it is to find a Reggie Bush. He will go #1 to whoever gets that pick.
I am a Packers fan, and my girlfriend is a Jets fan. Normally, this isn't an issue as they are in different conferences. Lately, though, we have been rooting for the other ones team to win, so that if our team losses, we are closer to that pick.
It does seem thought that Houston is throwing some of these games. I hope my Packers can get a high draft pick (they are probably guaranteed top 5 with two losses), but I don't think they can get the number 1 after winning this last week. I was nice to see Favre win again though.

It's going to be interesting to see what the Texans do with the #1 pick. You know that there are going to be some teams willing to trade up to get Bush and if some team offers up a Hershel Walker or Ricky Williams-like package, the Texans won't be able to pass it up. Not saying that it will happen but some team might be dumb enough to make a big move like that.

If I were the Texans, I would draft Bush #1 and use the rest of my picks on offensive line. In two years you will start to see dividends
