If this is true; then its because Josh wants to start where he goes; not be worried he will be 2nd again. Zetts is a solid qb dont get me wrong but Swogger could do better. Both played eachother; Zetts won and Swogger won on head to heads but Swogger got the title..

Zetts is breathing a sigh of relief; trust me Heacock wanted him I talked to him at the basketball games; but maybe our offense?

I'll be scouring the news services in the morning--hoping to hear that Swogger and Chambers are both coming to Missoula. Good one on the Bugs Bunny quote -- I was stunned earlier today when Porky Pig's "Blue Christmas" played on the radio and my son--age 11--had no idea who Porky Pig is.

Keep in mind people, chat boards like these are great because you can provide anonymous information without needing facutal support.

I don't know who is right, if anyone even is...watch, he'll announce himself for the NFL draft or something...

Anyways, we'll know soon enough. He's be a big help, but we've also currently got some good QBs who are maturing in our system.

Go Griz!

He still isn't going to do anything special at UM. He won't learn this offense in one season. It took Ochs 2 seasons to get us slightly above average on offense, nobody has posted why it will be so different if/when Swogger gets here. Cole will beat him out anyway and this is just another spot where we could have a talented DL man that could stop the run.

Alpha, I agree that we need some players at DL.........but our biggest problem last year was our inept offense and the fact that our defense was on the field the whole game operating under the knowledge they couldn't make any mistakes or our goose was cooked. I think adding talent to the QB position can only be a positive. And if Bergquist beats him out (I doubt it, although I like Cole.....i think), then even better. But I'm willing to take the gamble and am glad Hauck is as well. Eastern faired pretty well with Josh "you sunk my" Blankenship for one year. I hope he is a Griz.

Nope. Not even when our offense is the same inept one as last year. I don't boo, just state my opinion when a bad choice is made.

That's bull, quit spreading that lie. I watched Ochs come into his first game ever in 2003 against Cal Poly still limping and in a cast and tear up the Poly defense for 11-20 for 168 yards in just a half. Then he went 16-23 against Weber the next week still in a cast, and the next week he went 20-38 for 329. He was 47-81 (58%) for 679 yards his first 3 games ever as a Griz.

I'm a penguin guy, not of the Youngstown variety, but of the South Pole variety, so don't tar and feather me.

So.. we have what, 6 QBs on the roster now or something? For some reason, that seems like an awful lot, and a lot of unhappy QBs who could transfer.

Alpha, I am from the camp, if you can get better, do it, and if you can actually sit there and spew that the Griz did not upgrade the talent at QB, then your opinion really is not worth a cowpie. Swogger improves the QB position in a large way. Will this improve the offense? Only what happens on the field next year will tell, but I find it very difficult to believe that any QB on the current Griz roster would fair anywhere close to what Swogger could do for the Griz.

Guess life must be a lot easier when you can recruit a great QB, and have him run your offense for four years, huh??

Does anyone remember when Carson Palmer was drafted by the Bengals a couple of years ago. Alot of people thought that Marvin Lewis was crazy not to start him his first season. Well, he used that first season to learn everything he could, and now he is having one of the best seasons in the NFL. Allowing someone to learn a couple years can sometimes be more valuable than throwing them into the fire.
