Alpha, I am from the camp, if you can get better, do it, and if you can actually sit there and spew that the Griz did not upgrade the talent at QB, then your opinion really is not worth a cowpie. Swogger improves the QB position in a large way. Will this improve the offense? Only what happens on the field next year will tell, but I find it very difficult to believe that any QB on the current Griz roster would fair anywhere close to what Swogger could do for the Griz.

Does anyone remember when Carson Palmer was drafted by the Bengals a couple of years ago. Alot of people thought that Marvin Lewis was crazy not to start him his first season. Well, he used that first season to learn everything he could, and now he is having one of the best seasons in the NFL. Allowing someone to learn a couple years can sometimes be more valuable than throwing them into the fire.

Too bad he studied under John Kitna.. that could have really ruined him.

Kitna's last year starting in Cincy wasn't too bad. Other than that, yeah, it could have been ugly.

If this is true, I will welcome Josh Swogger to the Griz and will never say a bad thing about the guy. I just think we should have worried about other positions like DL/OL.

Kitna is a class act of a guy - On the field and off the field.

He is one of the smarter QB's to play the game (ya, he is not Dan Marino or John Elway, type talent) he is a proven NFL QB, on a NFL roster, very smart, very hard working and dedicated player.
