Last year the Griz had trouble with ISU, and last Saturday the Grizzlies had troubles on their home field, but.... they're still the number one team in the country. I hardly expect them two have the same lackluster performance (offensively) as they did last Saturday. Four reasons:
1. The O-Line should be back to normal (though not playing at 100% at some positions).
2. It's at home, and you can bet that Joe Glenn, and definitely his players, won't have that warm fuzzy fealing and mixed emotions with the Bengals like Glenn did with his old school.
3. Last years game in Idaho will be fresh on their minds and the Griz will have something to prove. Something like, "hey, our comeback win from behind and going on to be National Champs wasn't a fluke. What was a fluke is that we had to come from behind to win. What was a fluke is that you, the Bengals didn't lose by two or three TDs last year."
You can bet that won't happen again. If it is a close game it will be because Idaho is much improved (and I say close by saying ISU loses by two TDs), and not because the Griz are going to have back to back lackluster play from offensively at home.
4. It's Homecoming, it's the first game in conferance to play, and the Griz are out to show the rest of the IAA world that they're the National Champs for a reason.
It's time to send the other teams in the Big Sky and the IAA nation a message boys!
