Not really, but his one time backup sure looks like him today. Matt Hasselbeck was nabbed by Holmgren when he went to Seattle b/c Mike saw the talent there.

Directing plays, scrambling, the fake pass after the hand off, even unadvised throws. Matt looked a lot like a younger Brett Favre today, congrats to Matt, and the Seahawks (who appear to be going to the next round.)

Hasselbeck did look good out there. As a Vikings fan I hope there is not another Brett Favre.

"Well, why not 112%? Why not 500 percent or 1,300 percent or 38 billion percent? I mean if he can crank it up beyond 100%, why not? What's stopping him exactly?" ----Floyd Landis to Outside Magazine on athletes saying they gave 110%

Hasselbeck still does things that sbsolutely mystify me. Yesterday it was the falling down lob down the sideline into double coverage that very easily could've been picked. THROW IT AWAY!!!!!!!!!

Matty does scare me still...i watch him and he kind of looks like a first year Ochs...happy feet in the pocket and throwing it into coverage. but lets hope he turns into a second year Ochs and we all know how well he did
