Heard today that Cheney's check was in the mail... for a bird stamp... probably figured that if your exempt from one or two laws or articles or amendments, your exempt from them all... also, said that he didn't take hunters safety, but being from WY, your exempt there too. And just one other point on DC... I'm still trying to figure out how he gets his hand up GW's *&^ to move his lips...

So Re/Max was perfect in his knowledge. He never suggested that he was convicted.

Clinton was acquitted as well ... but it is still a black mark on his legacy and something that will be attached to his biography long after he is dead.

And don't forget Nixons biggest legacy.... even though it's still legal elsewhere, he did ban the use of DDT in the US.... probably the most worthy event for America in the last 100 years....

Error of omission. The media uses it all the time to dupe the masses. So do the Carvals and Matlins of the world.

I aplogize for omitting that he was acquitted, but his actions remind me almost like OJ Simpson, running from the cops but still acquitted.

He was arraigned 4 times before a grand jury and on the fourth time there was sufficient evidence to indict him. Because there was not the constitutionally-required two witnesses Burr was acquitted. Immediately afterwards, he was tried on a more appropriate misdemeanor charge, but was again acquitted on a technicality.

Hence the nickname "Teflon Burr" as all his buddies chose to call him.
