Wow, I've found myself debating for a few hours now, ugh...time for a glass of Pinot Noir.

I just wanted to let you guys know that I love ya! I enjoy the debate, and I do not take anything away personally here. I know I've PM'd a few of you on this, but I do respect your opinion, and I don't think any less of you even if our political opinon differ.

I have a deep respect for those who pay attention to what goes on in our country and is actively involved in tackling issues they hold dear, regardless the "side" they're on. Having a belief and standing on it is much better to me than not caring, not being concerned, or not voting at all.

Anyways, thought I'd throw that out there, and most of us agree on one thing, we're all Griz fans, except Hells who is a dirty bastard (hahahaha).

Ok.....debate on!!!

Apathy is a huge and growing problem in our country and those who participate in these discussions at least do not suffer from that. However, all of these "discussions" really constitute little more than venting sessions. No minds are being changed here. Also, I find myself spending more time here than over on the hoops forum where I belong. #thumb

Well said Re/MaxGriz, except for the we're all Griz fans - but hey, I'll forgive you all, nobody's perfect.

Anyhoo, I'm surrounded by conservatives over here in Eastern Washington, many of which I consider dear friends. So most of the conservative viewpoint I've heard before, and believe it or not, I listen to and thoughtfully consider it all - before completely disregarding it of course. #finger

In all seriousness, I take very few things in life seriously - including myself. If I get uppity, it's because you've given me the impression that you won't open your mind and even consider the opposing view. But it's all in good sport. #party

BTW does it surprise anyone that the Re/Max is a wine drinker? What a pinko!

Sorry Kalm,

Should've given you props too!

A nice glass of red wine helps me calm down, especially after all these debates and going 1 & 4 against the cats in football over the last few years.

I echo Re/Max's first post. I have PM'ed him before saying the same thing. This is all in fun and I too enjoy the debates. Even the non-Griz fans can sometimes be ok. #thumb

Someone else on egriz once accused Eastern fans of loving the Griz in a Single White Female sort of way. I have to admit, that's pretty damn funny.
#clap

In reality, only total and complete eagle homers hate the griz. The beauty of not being your direct rival like the cats is that more reasonable fans - like myself - of the BSC in general and who enjoy the state of Montana (I was born in Missoula BTW) only have to hate you a few times a year.
#party

But admiration aside, believe me there is no one we love to beat more than the Griz. Hell, I'd prefer a victory over the Griz in football this next season to an upset of Oregon State. #tounge

Discussion brings out many points that one may not have considered before... opens ones eyes so to speak... but its very difficult to open a closed mind!!!
