Post subject: Cheney "disgusts" the NRA (too funny)

Too funny … the following is from a National Rifle Association message board. Picture all those old men with guns (fat old Cheney who was poaching without a bird stamp, probably never handled a gun in his life), surrounded by young stud Secret Service agents with guns. Beautiful:
"I don't think Cheney meant to shoot his hunting buddy -- in fact I think that was the furthest thing from his mind. But there can't be any doubt at this point that somehow the communications broke down between members of that hunting party, and it's simply inexcusable."
"I am at a total loss to fathom how a man surrounded by Secret Service agents couldn’t be prevented from this kind of accident.
The damage that has been caused by this reckless incident is frankly difficult to fathom right now. By pulling that trigger, Dick Cheney has singlehandedly damaged the cause of legitimate hunters in this country almost irreparably. He and his hunting party on their private ranch in Texas disgust me right now."

I've always thought that the best form of gun control was my own trigger finger. Guess Dick never got the word.
BTW - Cheney bird hunts quite a bit. Remember when he and Renquist got flack for "sharing a blind" while duck hunting a couple of years back. I'll bet Renquist said a little extra prayer of thanks Sunday night.

Rehnquist? I thought it was Scalia that went hunting with him and ended up recusing himself from a certain SC case? I could be wrong or maybe he went hunting with both of them in which case they are both lucky.
