...and your point is?

Truthfully, I enjoy our "banter" and I don't want to appear to be poking fun at you. I just find that your view of the world is rather "limited" (through no fault of your own). I suspect this is due to a few reasons: I'm guessing that you've spent relatively little time outside of Montana (I'm talking about LIVING... not vacations)... you probably haven't witnessed real poverty .... you probably live in a reasonably "safe" neighborhood ... and you survived the local public education systems reasonably well. I'll bet nobody in your family has been raped, robbed or murdered. I'll bet you volunteer your time at local non-profits and have witnessed your time/money has had real benefits to the local group. You are probably considered a success at your job and your income has steadily improved to the point that you are definitely "Middle Class" if not "upper middle class". All local governmental agencies speak English, and the local Police Department is still held in high esteem.
And.. the majority of people you deal with in any given day are much like yourself. Right?

If this guy is such a good reporter....why is he still working for the Montana Standard?

By choice right? Right.

Alpha, your thong is riding a little high. This Pitts is a syndicated columnist out of Miami, the coke capital of the east.

Just having some fun PZ. I know you're not really poking fun at me.

- I've lived in Montana all my life
- "Safe" yes I do now, the one before was good too but I had a suspected meth lab near me, very shady. In a new neighborhood too!
- I volunteer at 4 non-profit groups here in town
- My wife is in school right now were a 1 income house hold, if I could classify our earnings I would say its average for Montana.

But you're incorrect on one thing, I do not work with a lot of people just like me, in fact I work with a very wide range of people. My friends are all "across the board" as well as both sides of my family. So from that stand point I deal with a lot of people who have different political views than me.

Wow.

The way the guy writes I would have expected him to write for the Standard. I read a lot of different publications online and I have never heard of this guy. Thanks for making me look like a dumbass! #thumb

The issue is, how long are the Dems going to continue to beat a non issue to death. I would much rather hear all their solutions to the problems they say are out there waiting for them to save the day. Com eon people, this dead horse has no meat on its bones. #deadhorse
