No where does it define which race is or is not racist. I would believe it's all inclusive.

i know you can't mean that. for one it would suggest that blacks cant be racists, and sadly some are.
it would also suggest that it would be fortunate if they were racist.

Dissin objected to the original post because the author stated that "four black guys" jumped McGillis and beat the crap out of him, or words to that effect. Never mind that the post was completely inaccurate - it had the effect of turning a stupid bar fight into a racial thing.

I don't agree with argh!! that the "four black guys" reference was just an objective way to describe the event and identify the participants. The example he gave of his experience in China was off the mark. The poster wasn't saying something objective and informative, such as, "Those four black guys over there are from Ghana." He was saying, in essence, "Four black thugs beat up a white boy in an unfair fight." He was associating a sinister event with race. Even if his story was true, the race was of the participants, again, was completely irrelevant, unless he was purposely trying to play to people's prejudices.

[Caveat: Just because I disagree with argh!! on this, it doesn't mean he should be kicked off the message board. Sure, he's got a jones for Green26, but the man is funny when he's off his Thorazine. And anybody who calls argh!! an idiot is himself an idiot.]

I also do not think the original poster intended to make a racist post. He thought he was just telling a story. But that's the thing about racism. It is so pervasive that it sneaks right into a conversation at a subconscious level. And the more people jump up and down and say, "Hey, all the black folks I know like me just fine," the more suspect they are.

Now, could Dissin be a little more tactful? Sure. But I think it would be a mistake to write off his message just because of the way it was delivered.

All, I think it WAS a reference and a reference ONLY. I've done this countless times. Just because they were involved in something stupid doesn't mean he was being negative of the individuals themselves due to their color... I just don't like any part of this kind of crap going on anywhere, it's stupid and for the most part a dead issue in today's society except for those who don't want it to die, dissin'....
