The credit thing is weak even if you are in the system. My sister lost a lot of credits when she transferred from U of M Missoula to O of M Western. Didn't they create these two systems to avoid that crap? I can't imagine having to work with two institutions and one one semesters and one on quarters.

I think if the entire holdup involving Chambers is transfer from a school whose academic calendar is based on quarters to one whose calendar is based on semesters, Chambers should be good to go come Aug. 8--he's not the first student nor the first student-athlete to transfer to UM from a university that uses the quarter-academic calendar.

I can understand that there would be some difficulties in transferring some of the credits due to different calendars and the difficulty of translating quarterly credits into semester credits and maybe Craig will have to take a few more credits--6 was the number I was told-- at UM during summer second session and/or online to get caught up at UM. (This is a rumor from a normally reliable source who told me this is what two kids on the team told him in Missoula, but I'll be the first to admit it that this information is second hand and could be false so take this with a grain of salt.)

I think Craig will be ready to go come September, and Hauck and Co. and Craig will move heaven and earth between now and then so that he's in our arsenal for Iowa on Sept. 2.

Chambers t a rumor at all. but it has NOTHING to do with his work ethic in the classroom or on the football field. anyone who isn't a coach or teammate of his at either at UM or UW is a liar ans spreading rumors on here of they claim they know about his work ethic on or off the field......BUT, just for the sake of this thread, 'I'll add my rumor to the list. I heard that he works his ASS off on the field, in the weight room and in the classroom.

I hope you are not talking about my original thread because I said no where in my post that I thought he was what you are assuming. I said that I don't want someone LIKE what I mentioned if in fact he was that that way. I gave some generalizations on what kind of players don't succeed on either the field or the classroom and that school/getting a degree should not be forgotten at U of M. Read my other posts on this thread because you will see that I hope Craig is there to help us win a national championship this year and next.

Ok, so all the speculations and promises of truth from all the "insiders" that we all know, as TheBud said.... time for this thread to die...

I doubt we are going to know for sure what is happening, did happen, or will be happening until 8/9 and the first week of fall practice. Then we can all see with our own eyes whether CC is suited up or not. Until then there has to be something more to talk about....

How about ronbo's boat in a marina north of Polson... Has he offered anyone a weekend on the lake with a bevy of Cabana Girls...????

That sounds good with or without the bevy.

What say you, Ronbo?

I sail mostly mid week but if anyone wants to bring up some beer and be a foredeck hand (just kidding) I could come up on a weekend, PM me. I'm afraid to have Alpha or Savage up because they might throw me overboard and say I slipped. :naughty:

This is dissapointing, if it indeed is true. However not the end of the world by any means..... even IF it were true.

I will wait until the AD or Coaching staff (Via some media outlet)tells me about it.

I have been one of the biggest UM fans in the internet posting history (there are many, many great fans)...have been named THE biggest fan by AZGriz (long story, lol). I went by the handle 1GrizFan on the montanagrizzlies.com message board, and Footballguru on this site (would still be using that handle but I let my email account expire so egriz wouldn't let me back in). I post the above info just to add some credibility to my post that Chambers is ineligible. In other words, I have never posted anything that was incorrect or not true. I now go by IntuitiveGriz. I have been very close to UM football since I graduated in HS in 1989. I won't tell you how I know anything, never have, it's out of respect to my source(s). You can believe me or not, I've never steered this board wrong yet in the years I have been on here. This is one time I wish I was wrong. But my assertation that Chambers at this time is ineligible and that UM doesn't that much can be done is 100 percent accurate.
