After a wonderful game day experience back in Montana this past weekend and then a 3 day hunting trip I return to what appears to be the worst state eGriz has ever been in. I appreciate all the great posts and topics that most people are creating but there are many bad things going on currently.
I am going to have to spend some time and clean up the board. I am going to be not so nice to those that are crossing the line. This is a warning to those that are crossing the line (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE).
If the crap doesn't stop, then be prepared for some actions, even if you do have 5000 posts on eGriz, you are not protected. Just stop the crap and everything will be fine. QUIT bashing other posters on this site, it is getting really annoying.

Thanks egriz. Sorry you didn't have a successful hunting trip. Or was it the Griz game that upset you with all the booing?
I wish you had someway to control the fans disrespect to coaches and players.
Anyway I appreciate your attempt to clean up this board.
Glad you were able to make it back to Montana.
Sorry Chris it has come to this. You do a lot and have given us in Griz Nation and others the best message board in all of I-AA and possibly the whole of what is college football.... thanks again.. Let the healing begin....
I am NOT a self professed college football Guru... just an ignorant fan and I can live with that!

Griz Game was awesome and Hunting was good as well. I got my elk on Sunday!
None of that is upsetting me, just what is happening to some people on eGriz.
A possible solution is to appoint more moderators to monitor the board in your absence and move posts and threads into smack or the trash heap a little quicker. Would prevent ongoing flame wars somewhat and allow those that don't want to read it to avoid it.

One thing that I think has been a problem is that there have been multiple threads on the main board that basically say the same thing. The "boo or no boo" debate and the OC debate and others were interesting, but it seemed like the twenty top threads were always about that. I think two threads per subject is plenty.
That or maybe you could probition some posters to let them know how you feel, and that they have to be better...only give them a certain number of posts per day.
"GD it, PETAns piss me off! We're never gonna have a stupid Eagle or a faggy Bobcat as a mascot!"
IMHO, seems to me that the number of posts is not a problem, but the nastiness, and everyone, including the poster, knows when they have crossed the line.
Perhaps just a new community forum choice would do, titled say, . . . "The UM Offense." That is the most consistently devisive subject. That would sort out a LOT of stuff.
1. The Sugar Factory / Rose Garden - for the all is right with the world gang
2. The Neggie Neggie Boo Bird Lounge - for the doom and gloomers
3. The "OK" Corral - for the fence rider/objective types who see the positives but think a lil tweakin' here and there wouldn't hurt.
Kind of an enter at your own risk thing: ie. if you want to post or browse outside of your particular clique then don't complain if somebody slams you or you don't like what you read. This way those who share similar thoughts would be free to converse without offending others and be able to post their opinions without being told they're wrong.
Just my , but then again I've been told before that my don't amount to much.
I am confident Chris will do this in the manner this board has been operated since day one, the right way. I am not about to tell him how to run his board. If people don't like the way he runs it, they are not obligated to read the posts, or to post.

No, really... .I think those are some great ideas for the problems recently. But then again what do I know...
For those of you who don't like beautiful women and like to complain, click on ignore and don't read my posts. I don't have anything of interest for ewe types. That includes the "mods".

Thank you, Chris. The personal attacks on this board are out of control. I used to read this board every day, but recently I've stopped spending any time on it because I can't stand fighting through all the crap.
I'm just saddened that Chris needs to spend his personal time babysitting. Let's just all grow up, stop the personal attacks, and go back to posting about Griz sports.
The problem appears to be with a handful of select posters and I believe Chris knows who they are. And yes, I am sure that these posters know who they are as well. Giving one's opinion should be acceptable but there should be zero-tolerance for personal attacks.

Just wanted to say Thank You.
I have been a member of this site for several years now and as you can see I don't post things on here much. I see how much crap goes on in here and I don't want to be involved in any of it. This is by far the best GRIZ board out there and one of if not the best sites in all of college football. Keep up the good work and I know you will make things right.
