This weaks....or uh, weeks predictions

Well I really stunk it up on my pick last week. But I have a feeling this week. S.Utah is piss poor. They can't throw the ball. They run the ball 75+% of the time. They beat us 45-35 the last time we played them. That game was painful! This game will be way more painful to them and us, as we watch the third string take a knee for the whole fourth quarter.

Da Griz 48
Thunder Turds 0

This is a game the Griz could put up 80+ points on the board....but Joe is too classy to do that.

At half the thunderbirds will have 32 TOTAL yards. For the game they will end with 120 Total. 65 yards rushing.

Knowing very little about this team except what I just read on their ESPN page, I'll have to make the following predictions:

Grizzlies: 55
Southern Utah: 10

I also predict their A.D. will get canned after this year for putting together such a tough schedule for them!

I know you don't get better by playing pattsies, but these guys clearly suck as a I-AA Independent. Best of luck to ya...

Go Griz!

After reading 62Griz's comments below, I found my message wasn't clear about who was playing the pattsies. I meant that SUU wouldn't get better by playing poor teams, yet they have a very tough schedule, not balanced, and questioned why their AD would put together such a tough schedule... Not the otherway around. Sorry for the confusion.

Good practice!

Jim, I believe we do get better playing an option team at this stage. We don't get to practice option defense in the Big Sky, but we always encounter a lot of it in the playoffs. The SOCON especially seems to specialize in the option. We certainly have been able to shut down option teams the last couple years, except for Georgia Southern.

Well my pick for the Weber game was 31-21. Not real close. I did at least state that the Griz would have a very balanced output. I guess that isn't too much of a prediction anymore with Coach Glenn.

SUU is not having a great year and they seem to get their arse handed to them quite frequently. My pick for the game:

Griz 41
SUU 10

The Griz could score a ton more, but Coach will go DEEP to the bench in order to let some injuries heal and he has class. The points SUU scores will be late in the game.

My prediction

Postby Shakermaker on Thu Nov 07, 2002 4:11 am

An upset.... :o Just kidding

I predict a halftime margin of 31 points for the Griz.

2nd half/2nd and 3rd string will add another 3 TDs

end of game score: Griz 52, them 14.

 Hey, we may not score this much, but I'm a believer on this one 8) .
