I asked a reliable source (Board Member of the GAA) whether he had heard Wayne Hogans / UM's stance on the issue of making the jump to 1A.

He said the that Hogan and Dennison both stated that with two big factors..
1- The upcoming changes to College Football in the next 2-4 years
2- The lack of success and problems that have plagued Ida-Who?
.. that they are content staying put and seeing what happens in the future.

Again, second hand information and should be taken with a grain of salt... but it satisfies my curiousity enough to know that the powers that be are happy and not planning on any major changes.

I'm sure 'Ronbo' will have something humorous to say about this...
