This is not a bad thing. This is the most overrated player that I have heard ever heard of. This guy was talked up more than any other player in any sport here recently, and lived up to nothing. How about Criswell. This guy is unreal. Maybe, because he wasn't talked up so much coming out of High School. High School performances don't always show how an athlete will perform at the next level, so please, don't set up another player for failure.

I for one thought Mike showed great promise (remember, he played as a true Freshman). He does have exceptional ball handling and shooting skills for a big man and I hope he gets things sorted out and returns. I'll bet the GRIZ coaching staff feels the same way.

Things were tough for him. He was in no mans land. there are 2 social groups in men's basketball and neither group made a big effort to include Mike. There are a few other problems that don't need to be addressed here. Mike is a 1A caliber player and I hope he sorts things out and comes back.

He said he could come back for 2004-05. Personally, I'd love to see him on the court for us again.

Wasn't it his mother said he was coming back?

Reason he is leaving temporarily was health reasons. He should be back next year.

Also, he did improve last year to be one of the best rebounders on the Griz. So, calling him overrated is a bit immature.

Northern Griz,

What do you mean by 2 social groups?

Are they 1st string or 2nd string? Are they stars or bench warmers? Are they football players or basketball players? Or?

Please explain.

SoCal.....I have one word for you. Minority. That was Mike, and that was where he came from. Not sure if this is what NorthernGriz meant, but it does apply.

NorthernGriz, NOT bringing Mike's 'other problems' to this board was very cool of you. Kudos.

Do you guys realize that with Riddle and Chavez gone, we only have three Montanans on the roster? And of those three, only Criswell and Seyfert will see any substantial playing time.
