I don't know what happened, but I can tell you this. Something has to be done, its frankly embarrasing to our University and football team. I have lost some of my steam for this season.

Does this have to do with the house invasion earlier this week?

Yes, Pate. There is a 4th name with same police report # but he is not on the roster.

What the hell is wrong with these kids?? Do they get off the bus and just decide to go out and be stupid? I suspect we will not see Shelton and Coleman again this year.. and wasn't Pate already booted off the team?

I would think there will be something on the evening news. The police were waiting for the bus. Can't imagine the media is not aware of this.

This is getting F'N ridiculous. Cripesakes, all we expect is be responsible and stay out of trouble. Unexcuseable, especially after what MSU and Montana have been through recently. DAMN, we do not expect any 18 to 23 year old to be perfect, but is it really that difficult to stay out of trouble? These guys are supposed to be young adults not kids anymore. They should know right from wrong. I am pissed at Coleman and Shelton, they are older and should know better. If the other guy is Pate, do not throw away a bright future, no need to think being a GRIZ is a popularity contest. What on Gods earth were these guys thinking? Stupid, stupid, stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

any suggestions? I am beside myself like a lot of people. I don't recall any of these 3 coming with any baggage to speak of. Shelton had a grade issue which sounded like he wasn't going to class on a regular basis at Arizona. I don't know about Coleman or Pate, but do not recall anything on either of them. What is this house invasion people are referring to anyway? The charges are damn serious, kidnapping, assault, robbery.

Very disappointing. Hate to see what this team has accomplished so far this year be diminished by the stupidity of a few. This type of stuff overshadows the accomplishments.

I'm so embarrased. And I feel bad for the guys on the team that do things right and will undoubtedly be effected. Pathetic and yes, in my mind Hauck has some questions to answer.

I think it would go a long way if Hauck came right out during Griz/Cat week and suspended these guys. Make a statement, don't play coy and say we'll see how things play out and then let them play. And before everyone jumps on innocent until proven guilty, I say this. There is no way that Hauck didn't give a very specific speech on character and behavior for the team after the Jimmy Wilson thing and with everything at MSU. I guarantee you that every player was warned about behaving themselves and avoiding situations that would be embarrassing to them, the team, and the university. Regardless of how this plays out, they are obviously putting themselves in situations that lead them to be legitimate suspects in something like this, and that is not acceptable to me. A lot of you that support the GSA are donating your hard earned money to help pay for these guys to go to school, I do think it is ok to hold them to a higher standard. They are being given a great opportunity, it is a privilege and it is perfectly acceptable for privileges to come with higher expectations.

If you look at the jail roster and the # under the bond amount that looks like it's a report number with the date of 11/5/07. Which would make sense if they were waiting for them at the bus it happened previously.

But he wont answer them. Right or wrong he probably wont say much on this incident. I really think he needs to come out strong on how this behavior is not acceptable for his players.

You have no reason to be embarassed. I am still damn proud to be a Griz, there are far far too many good kids to let a couple dumbasses ruin the program. Now is the time to stand up for the program, not shy away.

Agreed. They should obviously not be playing and what's it say about your program when the cops are waiting for your buses to get home from road trips? Embarrasing and a much bigger deal to me than the fricking game in Bozo this week. Pathetic.

These kids are not living up to the standards of Griz Student Athletes, plain and simple. And Coleman did have a prior issue.

I would be willing to bet it was drug deal gone bad....Too bad that they don't drug test these kids, or at least do random drug tests. Our scholarship money should not be paying for people like this to go to college. When we have so many GOOD kids that really want an education and would stay out of trouble trying to make it on their own, why can't we pay for them instead! For those good GRIZ players....I feel bad for you! You deserve better teammates. The fans deserve better than this too! If you can't keep your nose clean, then GET OFF the field! Simple as that!
