6'5" and 270, that's a big frame. The kid is probably still growing a little. Blake Lebeau...nice ring to it; a good football name.
If you make every game a life-and-death thing, you're going to have problems. You'll be dead alot -- Dean Smith.

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro -- Hunter S. Thompson

Word from very credible sources in Butte say Matt Ritter from BC has been offered a full ride and Conway and Boltz have both been offered to walk on. WTF??? Ritter is 3rd on that list if you ask me :twocents:

Know about all three pretty well and Ritter would definately be number one on my list. Nothing against the other two, but Ritter is a flat out winner.

Conway is #1 on my list, at 6'2" and about 210 he has a frame that will easily take another 20 lbs, he's fast and can run and jump and hit, he would make a great OLB IMO. Whats Ritter, 5'10" 170?

I'm not in the know about any of the 3 players, but I always like guys from Butte. I hope all three come to Missoula.

Conway has tremendous physical attributes and is a good 6'3". My thing with Ritter is this.....he has "IT". All the intangibles that makes guys like Colt Anderson.....Colt Anderson. He's a diamond in the rough.....write it down.

Our recruit Raymond Debruycker pinned Cat recruit Jared Rohrback in the 215 class at the Holiday wrestling tournament in Great Falls. Debruycker was named outstanding wrestler of the tournament.

I hope you're right about Ritter, but I think if he gets a full ride Conway and Boltz at least deserve a partial. I do know this, Boltz won't walk on, he has offers elsewhere but might accept a partial.

Are we going to have the uprising because the coaches seem to be recruiting out-of-state very hard and are going to pass on Montana kids.

Yep, missed the boat on Daly....

I hope they're working on Miller he's only Jr i think, but when he graduates look out. he could go pack 10 depending on what postition he wants to play.
I think we'll see him at qb next season in HS, and that will tell where he should really be, as he's quick enough to be a great wr.

Miller will be a Junior in the 2008 high school football season, and graduates in 2010.

I saw Miller go up and highpoint the ball, and return the long INT to the house against Butte this season (as a soph)--he was just a flash going up the sideline. He was clearly the best athlete on the field. He is a bigtime recruit, would love to see him be a proud Grizzly!

I agree with everything both of you are saying.

Ritter does have "It" and he makes smart decisions on and off the football field.

I agree on Ritter, he is a winner and has all the intangibles like Colt Anderson.

The knock on Conway is that he runs the ball soft, course would more likely play D in college.

The knock on Boltz is his attitude/emotions...grades.

On the 3 from Butte, I'd want Ritter, Conway, Boltz, in that order with some distance between 1 and 2 and 2 and 3.

I hope he does have "it". I'm a Butte High guy so I don't know much about Ritter. I hear he didn't do so well against Dillon in the semi's tho?

Just curious as I know there were truckloads of recruits in this weekend, if anyone knew how that went.

I know this is the dead period now, as there isn't any coach player contact for the next two weeks. This is probably the two most excruciating weeks other than two a days before the season starts.

I see on scout.com we've offered a saftey out of Oregon, Chase Wesley, 6-2, 165, 4.6.

I am a little confused with all the potential Safeties we are recruiting combined with our depth there already. Then again, if they all Redshirt, I can see it making sense. Should we not be focusing more on WR, RB, CB, LB in terms in depth? Unless something changes dramatically, it looks as if BH is planning on dropdowns to fill the depth chart at those positions.

Is it possible BH may turn a few of the safeties to other positions. The bigger ones to LB and the faster ones to CB? The good thing about recruiting safeties is they are most often versatile and good athletes.
