Guess someone thought there'd be a playoff game in Washington Grizzly Stadium this weekend, huh?? Bad planning.
Is there a basketball game on campus this weekend? A majority of schools that don't make the playoffs schedule their visits around home basketball games.
Several of the December weekends are always big recruiting weekends because the players are done with their seasons and playoffs and thus available to travel. For example, I think the finals of playoffs in Washington are this coming weekend (or perhaps last weekend). I assume there have been and will be more recruits in Missoula, because UM has so many schollies available this year. I assume UM will do well in home state recruiting this year, because they will not have to persuade as many good players to walk-on or accept a partial scholarship, when the Cats are offering a full scholarship.

The Washington High School championships were decided last weekend. Not that I pretend to be a recruiter or adequate judge of talent, but I saw a kid on the 4A championship Lewis & Clark team from Spokane who impressed me a lot. Dang, I can't remember his name, but he is an offensive tackle. Never played football until his junior year of high school, but I think the announcers said he had started every game since he took up the sport. Not huge, 6-4, 235, but quick and strong and of course could add some meat to that frame. I'm sure the Griz staff is aware of the guy.
If you make every game a life-and-death thing, you're going to have problems. You'll be dead alot -- Dean Smith.
When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro -- Hunter S. Thompson
His bench better shoot through the roof in college, because 275 lb max for a 6'8" 361 lb kid is pathetic. I'm 5'11", 185 and bench 270 lb max. He needs some time hitting the weights.
Didn't they learn this year that just having the largest O-line doesn't mean the best O-line?
After watching the Wofford OL...I say give me a few smart "Mutts" (6-1 to 6-3 270-290ish type players with last names ending in orze, ich, or iske, or owski)
Reader, suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a member of Congress. But of course, I repeat myself..."

I agree he needs to get stronger but what high school kid doesn't when getting ready to play college football? However, just a guess, at 6'8" his arms are a lot longer than yours at 5'11" and that is a huge difference when benching. Guys/gals with long arms have a tougher time than guys/gals with shorter arms. The shorter armed people don't have to push the weight as 'far'.

Exactly, it is much easier for a guy that does not have to push the bar up as far than a guy that has a wing span of 6'8" that has a mile to go. Guys like TJ Oelkers is case in point. He was the strongest receiver on the team, but that little midget barely had to get the weight off his chest before he was coming down again. Don't anyone take that as an insult to TJ because he is a friend of mine and would back me up when I say it. However, the little *$&% was a strong sunnofagun. And not a bad kid either.

Yeah that is pretty weak. Also only squats 330 lbs. Those are very poor numbers for a kid his size. Makes you question his ability.
