have waited to see if it is temporary or not, but maybe

.... it is due to the extra popup advertisements?

popup advertisements? I haven't seen any of these? There are not supposed to be any. Can you give me a little more info on that? Thanks

Then hesitates for another 10-15 seconds while

Chris, I think he is referring to the banner advertising served up between the postings and at the top of the page.

Sounds like Proud Griz Man might need to get off dialup and get with the rest of the 20th Century.. get high speed or DSL man!!

I am Already paying for High Speed Cable, yet did not have the same slowdown in July, August, September, October, and November. Now it is slower in December? #shocked

hmm, those ads have been there for quite some time. They are not a new thing for December and things should be much faster now that eGriz is on the new server. Anyone else having issues?

The site loads pretty much instantly for me. Thanks in advance for any info to help figure out this issue.

I really think it has to do with bandwidth...

At home (bresnan cable internet) the site loads very quickly.

At work, we're throttled down a little bit more, still fast but not blazingly fast, and I do notice at times a few seconds (5-10 max) or wait time on what I assume is all the banner ads / googley gook.

You have to know that everyones avatars, signatures, etc.. ALL OF IT are going to make a page load slower...

The mens room takes forever! #thumb
