I'm referring to the growing practice of pointing out to all of e-griz that some poor dummy goofed by launching again the same topic that may already be buried in a similar week old thread. As with many of you, I do have a life outside e-griz and don't really have loads of time to read beyond the topic titles which often give no clue as to the thread's content. I have even had a redundant post locked. For what purpose? For me this smacks a little too much of unnecessary internet PC. I'm not suggesting a dozen threads on the same subject, but let's be reasonable.

I could not agree more since I'm the last guy to get locked out for a duplicate post on the thread "AP Reports Hauck to stay at Montana" GrizBBIsKing wrote: "I know how much you want to be the one providing the info, but you are way to late, it has already been posted on this board:"
The moderator locked it because he assumed GrizBBIsKing was correct so I could not respond to GrizBBIsKing.
Duh...it was not the same post. The same article in my post was later added to another thread, but after my post. I got slammed by some guy who didn't bother to read the post. On top of that his grammer skills need help ("to late"?).
Even if my post was a duplicate, I don't mind if someone with some intelligence wants to let me know without attempting a full body slam.

I myself have duplicated a thread or two simply because I didn't see the original or it was in another section of the board. Simply informing me of that fact is fine with me.
