I wasn't referring to Mick D in my post Foe, although I wouldn't be surprised if he decided to throw his name in the mix. They guy I was referring to is a Dillon ex Griz player.

I don't know J.P. Gallagher. Foles says he has head coaching experience. What school? What sport?

Gallagher was the Defensive Coordinator(I think, maybe a position coach) at Flathead some time ago and did it well. I know many that played for him and loved him. They would run through a brick wall for that guy. I have also played softball with and against him. The guy will compete. I am not saying anything bad against the other guys, but JP would turn that program around. Also he is a Butte guy.

You bet, land of rocks and ditches!!!!!

I don't know JP, I know who he is and he is probably the frontrunner really, since he is already in place.

The Thomas rumor has Tyler being very interested, but I can't get any solid info on where he is at now. Big One, is he an assistant on one of the Kalispell schools staffs? I work with a guy whos sister is the athletic secretary at Butte High, but as Foles said in his article, the position hasn't been posted yet and they haven't accepted any applications, so everything is rumor right now.

That being said, I like Greg Salo alot. He's a great guy and his players were very loyal to him. My son played for Greg and really liked him, and he really did alot for BH Football. I feel bad for Greg but thats life!

JP lives in Butte. He was an assistant with Grady, and I think Mark Dennehy too. Not sure about the last part. He was a DB at Western. He is a great guy and has that Butte loyalty. He is a guy that you want on your side and I believe will do Butte proud.

Yeah I know he is the golf coach at Butte High, I was just wondering if Tyler Thomas is an assistant at one of the Kalispell schools.

I hear he is in line for the next HC at B-8 Colton High School job if it opens in 2009.. however I think he he might make his move, if the offer includes free pasties and Pork chop John's.

Talk about the "Get" of the Century for that town...he'd fit in the Butte Culture like Irish Whiskey at an Irish Wake.

That's what I thought...and then I started thinking about it all...Mike Kramer Loves Montana, he left EWU for MSU...he wanted the Montana job....his family is still in Bozeman, and it could open up doors for him maybe back coaching at one of the Frontier teams.

who knows...

I'm not sure he is willing to go back to HS tho. I think he is looking for an assistant job at 1-AA or higher.

It will be interesting to see who applies for the job. Rumors are swirling like crazy in Butte, and I know Mick is getting alot of pressure to apply. Whether he does or not remains to be seen, but I would think if he did apply he would get the job, they would find or make a position for him in the school district somewhere.

Interesting twist on the Butte High FB coach search. I hadn't thought about Curt until I read this, but he would have to be a serious candidate if he applies.
