I've talked this out with a few friends and a former UofM O coordinator and he doesn't rule out Hauck joining his staff. Think about it. Hauck is not going to get a big time job right out of the gate. I can't see him getting a bigger job then a WAC or Mountain West job. That's not a bad thing but don't you think getting a coordinator job at a high profile school will lead to a bigger first job on the 1-A level? Would you want your first job to be a school like Colorado St or somewhere like Arizona?

I'll play- what would he coach?

They have the DC I think I read earlier tonight?

Special Teams??

OC???

Would you like to know what my sources are telling me?

I would....just so I know what to rule out. #shocked

What do you mean you will play? I bet the closest you ever came to a jock was when you washed them as Team Manager.

Despite speculation to the contrary, I will guarantee that Bobby will not be moving to Brentwood any time soon. Bobby is a productive, crime-free year away from a legitimate shot at a very good job. He watched Wulff get the WSU job after playing second fiddle in the Big Sky, and he may well land a job like Arizona in the near future. Besides, ego is a factor, and successful head coaches don't willingly give up that title, regardless of the salary. (Note: Bobby took a small pay cut to take the job at Montana.)

The real question is which assistants Rick may hire away from Montana. Ty Gregorak played for Rick at Colorado and was a graduate assistant for him at Washington. Dom Daste was also a GA at Washington and played for Rick in the Rose Bowl. I am sure Rick will have plenty of candidates to choose from, but those two are at least a possibility.

UCLA talks about being short on pay for assistants, but you should see the Griz's salaries. $38,000 a year isn't much in Missoula when you put in the kind of hours they do.

Your also not going to get a whole lot of sympathy about guys being paid more than the average Montanan to coach college football no matter how many hours.

Eh, I know of two assistants that are getting paid under 20k each for the work they do on the team. But, I will admit that they willingly do it so the other coaches can afford this line of work. They are both financially secure from previous work and don't really need the money.

Under 20K? You can work at McDonalds and make more than that. They must really love griz football!

Everyone on egriz has no f*cking clue....hauck had a 0% chance of getting a pac-10 head coaching job. If you can't win a title here in FCS with the stadium and facilities we have then you simply aren't that good of a coach. Wulff got a job because he won at a school that is in a $hithole town with a $hit stadium and he still could win.

I'm assuming one of them is Tim Hauck, who is getting an NFL pension. Not sure what it is but it's probably better than what most of us make #twocents

Your full of #bs

My sources are much better than yours and told me the day after you came on here and started that rumor- that it was pure crap.

National Coaching sports writers and a guy who puts together steering committee's for coaching searches.

Trumps your mystery sources...you lose.

GO AWAY!

I love those PM's you keep sending me telling me of your connections to the Coach, the AD, and everyone else who wears Maroon. Do you always brag like that, or do you just do so in PM's where other Griz fans can't see what you write and call you on it?

I don't think you can just walk into any Head Coaches or AD's office like you claim you can. And you call BS on Me. If BS were money you would be a Saudi Prince. If it was the booze speaking for you last night, it's OK to say so, but please get some help.

Big Apple Ram,

Why are you in attack mode on a Griz Message Board? You came over here claiming to have insider info, which turned out to be incorrect, and now you are just going after others in here. What did DWTF do to you?

If you really need to know, he starting sending me PM's telling me all the things and people he knows. So as far as I am concerned he is fair game. Is that OK with you Master? #cry
