I'm not sure who to trust when it comes to the UCLA website. They completely obliterated Dorell's staff when he was canned, yet I got word from the Sac SID tonight at the Sac-PSU game that Angus McClure is still on UCLA's staff.
What's not so certain is the status of Jon Osterhout at Nebraska. Supposedly he's technically still on staff there even after Callahan got blown out. However, his term as a GA there is done. Apparently, there's some rule about GA tenure that's similar to the NFL's taxi squad rule: hit the limit, and you're gone. Unless, of course, Pelini hires him, which I doubt.
In any event, both are apparently welcome back at Sac if they ever want to come back.
In other Hornet news, SacBuzz is reporting that former DC Lou Patrone has been hired as secondary coach by the San Jose Sabercats. No verification from the Sabercats' website as of yet, however. If true, you can expect the Sabercats to go immediately to the cellar.

Does UCLA go after Ken Norton Jr. as DC if the one they had in place leaves?
"Well, why not 112%? Why not 500 percent or 1,300 percent or 38 billion percent? I mean if he can crank it up beyond 100%, why not? What's stopping him exactly?" ----Floyd Landis to Outside Magazine on athletes saying they gave 110%

Walker has announced he, along with 2 other assistants who were going to UW, they are staying. If Walker had left, Neuheisel had said he would go after Norton.

It's certain now. Osterhout was retained by Bo Pelinia as the Defensive GA. You can be a GA for three years if you've finished at least 24 units of your Master's Degree, which he has done. He'd love to coach at Montana some day. After being at Nebraska and having played and coached against Montana, he feels the same about both fan bases. Very passionate and knowledgable about their teams.
