The Patriots concluded their preparations for Super Bowl XLII with a crisp workout in shorts and shells at Sun Devil Stadium that lasted an hour and 20 minutes Friday.

"We're ready to roll," coach Bill Belichick said. "We're as ready as we're going to be."

Belichick said the team will not have a walkthrough at University of Phoenix Stadium Saturday. The Patriots will go to the stadium to take a team photo.

Wide receiver Jabar Gaffney's shoulder injury has improved, and Gaffney was able to fully participate in practice. Quarterback Tom Brady's ankle continued to be a non-issue. So the Patriots look to be completely healthy.

Pro Football Hall of Fame running back Jim Brown spoke to the team before practice at Belichick's request.

Later in the day, Brown was among a number of athletes who appeared on the NFL Network. When asked who he was picking in Sunday's game, he responded: "Patriots. The best coach in the history of the game."

I want the Pats to win and if they run it up hard and put 70 on those NY POS it won't be enough. I want every NY fan in the US crying, drinking and getting arrested for anything after the game.

I'm going to tivo the game so I can watch the commercials. They always have great commercials for the superbowl. The halftime show may be good also.

Ouch, beat you there. Who actually tries to compare some crappy NBA game to the Super Bowl? C'mon man.

That was a fun game to watch. I was glad to see the Giants pull off the upset.

I like others, thought it would not be a good game...I agree, it was very enjoyable to watch. Congrats again to Eli and the G-Men.

Funny to watch the Patriots and how things have changed. They are becoming as hated as the Yankees, Celtics, Cowboys, etc...a far cry from the upstart team that beat the Rams a few years ago-

Fun 2nd half to watch;

I was wondering. Are the Giants of this year the one team that has won the Super Bowl that has had the most regular season loses? 10 - 6, I think they were. I don't know of anyone else with so many loses and came out as the champion after all is said and done.

I suppose Robin Selvig told you that? Seems to work for his teams most times. Hope so again this year.

Happy to see 'em lose. Now the 'best of all time' crap can be laid to rest. They are not.

Unfortunately for the Giants, this game will be remembered for NE losing a perfect season rather than the Giants winning the SB. #twocents
