First time post for a Missoula native and older than dirt Griz fan. I use to live right next to the University and would walk over to the football games when they were played where the library now stands.

I must have attended every football & basketball game for about 10 years (never paid to get into a single game...we always found some way to sneak in). Had a great time during the Swarthout years.

With the terrible time QB Ben Olson was experiencing at UCLA I was hoping he might transfer to Montana for his senior year to get some visibility and playing time. His family is from Missoula and his Dad attended and I believe graduated from Montana. With Norm Chow coming in as the offensive coach I think Olson will now stick around at UCLA......too bad

In Kessman Montana could be getting a problem child. He had a lot more problems at BYU than coffee. On the hand the guy is talented so maybe he will fly right for change....time will tell.

My favorite Griz memory. Montana finished it's first undefeated season under Swarthout by pummeling North Dakota 56 to 0 and at the end of the game a lot of the players and fans loaded on the back of a big flat bed truck and drove around Missoula celebrating. I was about 12 years old and couldn't get on the truck but one of the players grabbed my hand and pulled me into the truck so I went along for the ride......great times!!!

You know what else had a lot more problems at BYU than coffee?

Your face.

But seriously...........

I'll give Kessman a pass FOR leaving BYU.

Saudi -

As per the rules, a kid is not allowed to "drop-down" with less than two years of eligibility remaining.... But even if that rule did not exist - You really wanted to see a senior, two year starter replace by a one year drop down?

Sorry, but I read the rest of your post in light of that silly stuff.

I believe it odd that Saudi throws in the Kessman comment on his first post. Makes you wonder where his IP address is.

I do find it very disturbing that the moderators of this board would allow a dissing of one of their Grizz players. It is Very disturbing. It will continue as more and more of those BYU fans find out where Ryan went.

Good to hear he made it. Man, 3 days from Provo. Bet he's glad that trip is over.

Welcome to Missoula Ryan.

I am not going to remove a thread for somebody saying there is more to the story. I find it interesting that you have no problem with the dissing of a religion. We dont get paid as mod's and do the best we can. Don't get me wrong, I am not dissing you either. You just have to be careful and not just remove stuff because you dont like it. What Saudi said was not inflamatory. Also from my observations I have seen more support from Cougar fans on here than ones dissing him. It would be nice if all parties would let it go. Both have moved on, we got a stud, and he has a new start.

I would never usually do this, but just to not get this guy confused with another former poster. His ip strangley enough comes up to a place in Saudi Arabia.

Not sure I understand, is he coming back?
Coach said Ryan already has all his classes.

I assume that Ryan was a good HS student. What kind of GPA did Ryan have out of HS Dallas? He has some work to do to catch up on credits by Fall camp.

It was (Montanan) suggesting that Ryan drove through Missoula on his way to Glacier park (judging from the map).

a joke.

Since the post migrated to the Rumor section let me clarify that Olson coming to Montana was just a "wouldn't it be nice if that happened" and not a rumor. Obviously not going to happen give the eligibility issues.

Seems to be a few people just a little testy about Kessman....and Dallas must be Kessman's mother. I'm old enough to know there are two sides to every story.

Both the major football coaches in Utah......Whittingham and Mendenhall are respected coaches and would be tough but flexible on minor rules violations. I think it is fairly obvious at this point what went on but so what.......everyone has a right to move on to some place they want to be......GO GRIZ

And you damn right I am in the Middle East protecting your right to drive your 4WD so don't give me any more crap!!

You should know the UM could care less about rules violations. Look at the thugs they had last year. They need to replace the players that are in jail.

Bhumble is a Bengal fan, as well as an idiot. He has almost a 100% record for making stupid or ridiculous posts.
