Was told by a very close friend that Cedric Cormier is down in Texas interviewing with a couple of schools. Sounds like something is up. If its true about Kalagis then something big is going to be announced soon. Maybe BH is going to UCLA.

I talked with Cedric about an hour ago, and I'm not in Texas.

MVD has done a great job at CC, but that is small time college football. You don't turn the keys to a multi-million dollar cash cow over to a glorified high school coach.
Glorified high school coach and small-time my ass. He coached at UM and WYO. Carroll consistently beats Div. II teams (one of which is in the running year in and year out for the Div. II championship, i.e. Central Washington) and could give some I-AA schools a run. Five national and six Frontier chippers in eight years...know what you're talking about before you decide to rant.
Furthermore, MVD has coached at a higher level as an assistant for some successful programs. So to say he is overrated and would be out of his element at a 1A or 1AA program is just plain ignorance.

how much of that experience has been as a HC? I can imagination that being a HC is a different animal then being a coordinator or position coach

Its clear he learned a lot from his experiences as an assistant which has helped him become a great head coach. My point was it is familiar territory for him becuase, he has been exposed to that level before as opposed to some small college HC who's only experience has been at the small college level and when they move up they have a huge learning curve.
I have no doubt MVD could coach at this level. I wouldn't be opposed to him being the next Griz HC either. My only request is that when BH does leave, that UM opens the job up Nationally. A real honest look at who across the country is interested, and bring in the cream of the crop. If MVD rises to the top, then so be it.

so we can say that the last coach of the dolphins was a good coach since he learned his trade from Marty Shottenheimer
