"Montana State’s last four secondyear head coaches improved their
team’s record by an average of just over five wins from the previous year."

If Rob Ash had a 6-5 record his first year, using the information above, what will his record be in his second year?

If you think Ash is going to win 11 games please PM me with any dollar amount you wish to wager. Either that or admit you were drunk when you posted that. #beer #thumb

I believe Ash will win 11 games in his career at Msu...

Oh wait, did you mean IN JUST ONE SEASON???

Maybe if they play 20 games...

That average is pretty easy to do when krammer lost all but one game in 2000. So for a more accurate statistic we should look at the median of improvement which would be more accurate (if you understand how averages work and why you normally strive to get rid of the numbers that are uncommon) I'm guessing then that the median is more like 1 or 2. In which case 8-4...thats pretty good...of course that means you would most likely lose to KSU, um (minnesota), EWU and UM (those would be respectable losses). That would leave you with just seven DI wins (unless adams state gives Chadron or UNC a call and asks for some advice) and puts you more than likely watching us play again. And as for msu's last 4 second year head coaches, holy cow how far back are we going here? I mean that would be like me bringing up some distant fact....like that the Griz have won 20 of the last 23 meetings between the two teams...

And hell even if msu goes 11-1 I think we all know which game that loss will come from #thumb

Anyone want to place a wager on who'll have the better record after the first game? #dance

Silly bobcats, always celebrating too soon. Remember half time the last two years? By the way, willing to make a wager on who will have the better record after three games? four? etc.?

No, not bet on that. We all know MSU plays the Big Boys every year so it isn't even fair to compare. What is on your cupcake this year? Some of those sweet frosty sprinkles I hope

Oh yeah, the big boys. Yet you can't beat Northern Colorado or Chadron. By the way, what is your record against UM over the last 25 years? thought so. #loser

Sweet frosty sprinkles...great new nickname for the cats- #thumb

Sounds about right- #clap

Enjoy your cupcakes. Keep scheduling that way. It is becoming a very good recruiting tool for MSU telling them that they aren't afraid to play anyone and play the BIG BOYS each and every year.

Well yeah. Why wouldn't you want to get your ass kicked by the "big boys" and get paid for it instead of the Chadron States on your own turf? #thumb

Did Northern Colorado beat anyone else in the BSC, or just the cats? #laugh

the cats argument is pointless... Chadron State isn't even a notable school so what u beat one school in 1A thats garbage.. Northern Colorado is (for once instead of the cats) the laughing stock of the BSC but yet you find ways to lose. the griz may play a "cupcake" schedule by your standards but the cats wouldnt have a winning record with the same guaranteed. and why recruit honestly would go "oh your right the Griz totally suck, the Cats only lose because their schedule is SOOOO hard..". right that makes sense.

Quality win, yes. But they were (that year) far from the "Big Boys". Run along now.

yes, the Cats have lost several games they shouldn't have. I guess the Griz are immune to losing to a Div.II school, well except for 2003.
