My 12 year old son is WAY TOO BUSY BEING COOL to be impressed by most things, but he was pretty excited about that. It was cool. Too bad we couldn't see the spy satellite getting blown up at the same time.
They just wanted to make sure the fuel was destroyed. Sure. Wink Wink.
I saw the eclipse go total in the low western sky just before sunrise (Thursday morning) here in south central Turkey. I called my wife through the defense switchboard network around 8:30pm Montana time (Wednesday night) and she saw the moon coming up in the western sky. Really neat.
The moon set below the mountains west of Adana for me in total lunar eclipse and wasn't able to see it "come back out". It was a beautiful night in the northern Meditteranean region so it was neat to share 5,528.6 nautical miles from Incirlik direct Missoula.
By the way, another successful day of participating in the war in Iraq and Afghanistan from here. Go Griz!
Just waiting for Slick to take over. Those will be fun years to watch Griz Football.
