She just "misspoke". We all do that from time to time. Sometimes I say, "Ya know, back when I was coaching the Griz....." or "Well, when I was President..."
This actually made me respect Hilary more. Can you imagine the stones it takes to just flat out make up a story where you are dodging sniper fire. It kind of reminds me of that Jon Luvitz sketch "yeah...that's the ticket".
The story is actually mostly true, except the sniper fire part. I wish more people would add exagerrated tales of death defying bravery to otherwise mundane stories. Also I liked how she took credit for the Irish peace process, but was restrained that time and did not also add a story about dodging bullets as well.
