But not all pathological liars are politicians, and not all liars are pathological, and not all pathological people are liars. So, if all politicians lie, and do so pathologically those people who lie non-pathologically cannot be politicians. Also, those people who display pathological tendencies except for in lying cannot be politicians. Of course, since not every pathological liar is a politician, pathological lying is only a necessary condition of holding public office, not a sufficient one. As such, it should be practiced by all those who hope to someday become politicians. However, we would need to establish causality in order to prove or disprove that conclusion. Important issues all.
All politicians have lied, cheated on their spouses, smoked the herb, snorted a few lines, we're baptised by satan, fooled around with another woman during an experimental stage back in college, etc.
It's the moralists who claimed to haven't that frighten me.
Changing ones mind, seeing the light, admitting you're wrong is a sign of intelligence and part of the human condition.
To all of you who snickered at "read my lips", the Monica scandal, and John Kerry's flip flopping - a bunch of this crap is on you.

Do you believe Ron Paul is a liar..can you give me som examples?
I have found him to be honest to a fault (too honest for his own good if you know what I mean) but he is still in office...
If Americans would give their head a shake, he should be the next prez...but alas, Americans are sheep
I don't know if he is a liar, let alone a pathological one, but I don't think he'd make a good president just because he's a fukking psycho. No proof. Just an opinion. How to create a huge illegal trade market of commodities in your country: eliminate the IRS, raise necessary tax revenue via huge sales taxes, and watch as street hustlers start selling diapers for cost plus 8%. Wait, was that Huckabee's deal, or both of theirs? I forgot. Maybe because it doesn't really matter.
Why not eliminate the IRS? And, while they are at it, privatize the freaking post office. When they get those two things accomplished let me know, I have a list.

I don't think we should eliminate the IRS for the already reason stated above. But, that's just me.

Eliminating the IRS is a step in the right direction in my opinion. You cannot get the same answer from two different IRS agents on the same question. If they don't understand the damn thing, how can Joe Citizen be expected to adhere to it?

Reminds me of a joke my Dad says from time to time.
Two guys are sitting at a bar, one says to the other, "All politicians are a--holes and all a--holes are politicians."
The other guy says, "Hey!! Take that back! I resent that generalization!"

Sure a politician can tell the truth, and be completely unelectable.
The truth is that we all suck off the government teat, and we probably need to raise taxes, allow some large companies including financial institutions to crumble, and let inflation run its course to get us out of our economic mess. Oh, and we'll also more than likely need to stay in Iraq for a very long time.
Try running on that platform.
Show me a tax-and-don't-spend hybrid and I'll show you the most honest politician around, with a 0% winning percentage.
Anyone for a Ron Paul - Dennis Kucinich ticket?

Do you really think that Ron Paul didn't write those racist articles with his name one them in the eighties? Or do you believe Paul when he says that he didn't know who wrote those and attributed his name to them. Not only liar, but a coward too if you ask me.

I believe that he was invloved with several groups early on in his political career. I believe there were some questionable individuals and decisions.
Show me one politcian that has not had made mistakes of some sort or another. When you travel down the libertarian road, you meet more than a few thousand different characters...tos ayt he least.
Do you believe Barrack Obama and all the members of that church who support that anti-white preacher are not racist as well? Do you believe every group touting black this or black that is not racist?
take your blinders off pal then we'll talk
