Carroll College made it to the NAIA quarterfinals and Jolene Fuzesy became the most accurate 3-point shooter in the history of college BB as well as All-America honors.

Carroll's Fuzesy sets NAIA record

HELENA - Carroll College's Jolene Fuzesy finished her college career in the NAIA Division I women's tournament Saturday as the most accurate 3-point shooter in the history of college basketball.

Fuzesy, of Malta, connected on 464 of 899 3-point attempts for a 51.6 percentage.

She moved ahead of Scott Martin of NCAA Division II Rollins College, who connected on 236 of 460 for 51.3 percent of his 3-pointers from 1988 to 1992.

Fuzesy fell just short of the all time record for made 3-pointers by a women's basketball player. Her 464 are just three off the record set by Kiely Schork of NAIA Division I Loyola University of Louisiana from 2003 to 2007. Schork took 1,382 3-point shots in her career, good for 33.8 percent.







Fuzesy makes All-America team

Jolene Fuzesy, a senior guard at Carroll College, has been selected to the second team on the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball All-America Team.

The 5-foot-10 Fuzesy, who is from Malta, was the leading scorer in the Frontier Conference this season with her average of 18.94 points per game. For her career with the Saints, Fuzesy finished with 464 3-pointers and 2,062 points.

The All-America squad also included Shannon Evans of Westminster College and Sadie Short of Lewis-Clark State on the third team.

Laura Keaster of the University of Great Falls and Jade Fulbright of Lewis-Clark State received honorable mention accolades
