the season may be over, the final four almost final, and the recruiting noise temporarily abated, but we'll look back on this next month as critical to griz fortunes in basketball. there are three scholarships to be given--almost a fourth of the entire squad--and how tinkle fills these slots will put a huge stamp on the program. my sense is, if tinkle gets his first three choices, the results could be spectacular. guess we'll know soon enough.

There will be 2-3 recruits making visits to UM shortly after the Final Four, and look for Tinks to sign 2 of them for sure. He may or may not hold onto one for a possible transfer. Maybe the Duke player who is transferring will decide to come here instead of going to Gonzaga. OK, so I stole the HOPE idea from Obama.

I like the HOPE idea with a tank at the bottom of the page. Looks a little conservative for Obama perhaps.

It might work if Dukakis was driving it! #thumb

Wow that is a blast from the past. I hope we get some guys who like to rebound and play defense and have a little bit of a nasty streak.

As I recall, Dukakis was a little on the short side to be a truely effective rebounder. I have heard he did have a bit of a nasty streak however. Among failed presidential candidates I believe George McGovern was one of the better rebounders but Bob Dole was the nastiest SOB on the court.

With the final four finishing up the 7 day dead period (some refer to as the coaches holiday) will come to a close at noon the 10th. and their should be a rush of player visiting campus's before another 4 day period that spans the 14-17th. This short little period is where colleges hope to land key recruits before, for the first day of the signing period. I hear the Griz hope to have in at least 1 high schooler and 2-3 JC's. I also hear the cats will have in at least 2 JC's may be an unsigned senior, and possibly 2 of their committed high schoolers.

BTW I have heard that Huse and Tinkle took in the final four together and have spent good portion of the last 4 days chumming around..... without the wives you know.
