Sprinkle, Dirden leaving Bobcats
By Gazette News Services
BOZEMAN - Montana State men's basketball assistants Danny Sprinkle and Shawn Dirden are leaving the team, coach Shawn Huse said Friday.
"One of the unfortunate sides of this business is that you lose good coaches," Huse said. "I've really enjoyed working with Danny and Shawn because they are not only good coaches and good recruiters, but because of the things they've done for the players."
Huse said Sprinkle is returning to the West Coast to explore coaching opportunities.
Sprinkle is a Helena native who played for the Bobcats from 1995-99. He was an assistant at Cal State Northridge for six seasons before taking the MSU job in 2006. He had been the recruiting coordinator for the Matadors for three seasons. Dirden is returning to his hometown of Denver to return to coaching and teaching in the high school ranks, Huse said.
Huse said a national search to fill both positions is under way.

You'd think the reporter would know that Brad Huse is the head coach......but on the other hand perhaps the "national search" will result in Brad's brother Shawn being hired.
