This is really bad news for the Dems!

Postby ronbo on Mon Apr 28, 2008 2:58 pm

The United States Supreme Court has handed down a 6-3 decision to require voter ID's.

Bad news for the Dems who rely on millions of illegal alien voters, register dead people, and have people go back and vote multiple times.

The Democrats are already CRYING that their voters will be disenfranchised. Harry Reid is screaming foul HaHa! That's good enough for me!

The decision allows States to require a photo ID. Presently it's OK to vote with no proof of ID. You could be Osama Bin Laden and vote in our Presidential elections.

I wonder how many states will implement their own ID requirement. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I would tend to think that most people that care enough to register to vote, and then actually vote, also have some form of government photo identification.

Ronbo you ignorant slut  . There is no documented evidence of any kind that millions of illegal aliens are voting. And you know what? Driver's licenses DON'T PROVE CITIZENSHIP ANYWAY!!!!!! So how in the hell could having a photo ID prevent a non-citizen from voting?

Most actual voter fraud (which is very rare, in reality, even though both sides make unsubstantiated claims en masse each election) happens via absentee ballot, which will still require no ID, so if anyone wants to commit voter fraud, that's how they will do it.

The fraud takes place when somebody registers to vote -- not when they cast the ballot.

It would be so incredibly refreshing if you could post something that has at least one foot in reality as opposed to your hysterical bits of right-wing misinformation.

Right wing? I don't think ronbo has any wings. They were clipped at birth, he just goes round in circles. :tounge:

True, he does throw out some left-wing misinformation periodically as well. This chunk just happens to be of the right-wing variety.

I still think that if these state legislatures were at all serious about making sure that citizens and only citizens were voting in their elections, they would mandate that everyone must show a PASSPORT in order to vote.

But we all know that those state GOPs won't be pushing for that, for the same, but opposite, reasons they ARE pushing for the driver's licenses.

That is not true, HAVA allows for different forms of ID, but all states must ask for some sort. Most of this arguement stems from the belief that making one buy a drivers license is a Poll Tax.

Here are the montana laws:

Before an elector is permitted to receive a ballot or vote, the elector shall present to an election judge a current photo identification showing the elector's name. If the elector does not present photo identification, including but not limited to a valid driver's license, a school district or postsecondary education photo identification, or a tribal photo identification, the elector shall present a current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, notice of confirmation of voter registration issued pursuant to 13-2-207, government check, or other government document that shows the elector's name and current address.
I don't expect anything from you, except to die and be a very cheap funeral.
