Doom and gloom. Doom and gloom. That's all they like to talk about.
Well I'm sitting here watching the stock market go up because all the reports are saying the economy is still growing. Where the heck is that depression the left wants so much?
The country's economic growth during January through March was the same as in the final three months of last year, the Commerce Department reported Wednesday. The statistic did not meet what economists consider a definition of a recession, which is a contraction of the economy. This means that although the economy is stuck in a rut, it is still managing to grow, even if slightly.

Can you please provide us with a link where anyone (Democrat or otherwise) actually says we're in a "depression?" You've mentioned this in a few different threads, but frankly, you are the only person I've actually heard use that word to describe our current situation. I've heard recession, but I haven't heard anyone other than you actually use the "D-word."
There's no chance that you're, uh, "exaggerating" what the Dems have actually said, is there?

I listened to Obama and Hillary and Dem leaders on the hill for the last 6 months saying everyone's losing their homes, everyone's losing their jobs, nobody can afford to drive their cars, etc., etc.

Doom and Gloom!
Ok...so where have you heard that we're in a "DEPRESSION"? That is what you've told us the Democrats are saying, right?
If you're exaggerating, that's fine; just say so, and we can get on with our lives.

I'll tell you where the "depression" is. It's in the minds of the American public because they have had Doom and Gloom pounded into their heads for so long now by the Democrats. They are getting depressed. We'll lose the war, we'll lose our homes, we'll lose our jobs, if you get sick you'll lay in the gutter and die. On and on and on about the negatives.
It's taking me everything I have to not buy into it.

K...so in other words, the Democrats have not actually said that we are in a "depression."
Thanks. That's all I was looking for.

No it's IN THE DEMOCRATS HEADS. All we hear from them is how bad the economy is.
Well gentlemen and ladies. THEY LIE.
The numbers say the economy is still growing. Don't buy into the deception. They should be renamed the Deception-o-crats.
Speaking of Deception. Every election time the Dems scare the bejesus out of the seniors by saying the Republicans will take away their Social Security. That will be coming soon.
Two of the biggest names in economics that forsee a recession are Alan Greenspan & Martin Feldstein of National Bereau of Economic Research. Greenspan was appointed by Reagan and Feldstein was his Chief Economic Advisor.
Your right these guys are extreme lefties!
I don't expect anything from you, except to die and be a very cheap funeral.
i don't think rainblo is bright enough to get depressed by his own intellectual deficiencies, because he doesn't have the cognitive ability to critically think about the crap he spews.

Really, I'll make some serious money in the stock market today because I believe in America.
How'd you do today with your neggie attitude argh?
Who's the bright one. HaHaHaHaaBaHaHaHaHa!
My investments are up over 10% on the year. What are you neggies getting in your savings accounts? 2% for the year. WaHaWaHaHaHa!
Good for you, but I haven't seen anyone mention their portfolios on this thread. I thought we talking about the "dirty lies" being spread aroung by the democrats to mess with the voters.
You should run for office since you are able to change the subject so seamlessly without defending your position.

Investing in America is believing in America. It's being positive about the economy. It's looking forward to good things not crying and moaning how BAD every thing is.

Short term memory loss?

Ronbo needs to have a talk with my 401K and investment accounts to explain to them that things are GREAT and that those accounts' claims to me that they are a lot smaller than they used to be are nothing but liberal lies.

I hate it when my accounts lie to me like that.
The same ronbo was whining how he was so poor he couldn't go to the road games. I think that story is far closer to the truth than his investment prowess it.
You know, for attributing that to Democrats, you'd really think that your link would have come up with some actual, you know, Democrats, making that claim.
Instead, we get that claim from the International Monetary Fund and a bunch of economists.
