Free Trade

I know it's a complicated issue, so forgive me this simple question: who benefits from free trade?

There are so many facets to the free trade issue that it may be very difficult to get a conclusive answer. but.... for the working professionals it is very attractive to come into the US for employment. No limit on stay, and you receive all the benes of being employed here.

I was hoping that the NAFTA would help clean up Mexicos polluted air and water, but this administration doesn't hold Mexicos feet to the fire so nothing there... the trucks entering from Mexico haven't been held to the same standard as Canadian truckers or even US truckers so... take it from there... as far as goods and services, if a product is over 50% value added in one of the NAFTA countries, then there are no duties to pay to import... this was fazed in over a number of years, and now all Canadian imports w/ the 50% are duty free.... not sure on the schedule for Mexico. oh yea, take a look at the value of the US $ now, too.

I don't think you can blame the dollar on NAFTA. Printing money to pay for things that we can't afford is causing the dollar to decline in Value.

Clinton was every bit as big of a NAFTA PROponent, so please tell me what he did "to hold their feet to the fire".
