Are you suggesting that Hillary's proposals are any less oblique that Obama's?
Or are you simply noting that all of the candidates have a lot of vague statements in their policy proposals?
and you bitch about people reading their own biases into your posts?
but, if you must ask, from what i've read and see it is my opinion that clinton can extemporaneously speak about the facts behind issues much better than obama. considering his considerable advantage in delivering "powerful" extemporaneous speech, that doesn't sit well with me.
So after you have posted several posts in which you express a dislike of Obama's campaign/methods/etc., you think it is somehow unfair/bad/whatever for me to ask you how you weigh your criticism of Obama against the person he is running against?
Isn't a comparison of Obama and Hillary (or either to McCain) just about the only reason for us to be talking about Obama or Hillary right now?
That doesn't seem like an accusation of bias, but rather just asking a question that is pretty much putting things in the context of the whole discussion, isn't it?
Or do your opinions of Obama exist in a realm completely detatched from his race against Hillary and/or McCain?

if you could read as well as you write, you might have been able to figure out that i was criticizing the lack of substance being proffered by obama's campaign. i did not express a "dislike of obama" per se. i'd like to think that even in my own feeble little mind, i am able to distinguish between the persona and the person. also, i wasn't aware that i wrote in invisible ink that "it is my opinion that clinton can extemporaneously speak about the facts behind issues much better than obama. considering his considerable advantage in delivering "powerful" extemporaneous speech, that doesn't sit well with me".
i really gotta cut out the invisible ink posts. i suppose that would be more likely if i was ephemerally promised a 'reward' for doing so.

To be fair, though, the post you refer to, while not in invisible ink, was posted after the response that BAC was defending. Based on what you had said at the time, I don't think BAC was being unfair by asking you to elaborate, was he?

I can throw a retroactive "invisible ink" reference right back at you, as I edited my post (apparently while you were writing yours) to stress that you expressed a dislike of Obama's word/methods/etc as opposed to him as a person ... so we're in agreement on that. You didn't criticize him as a human being ... noted.

Glaw,
Does BAC have you on retainer? Myabe it is my imagination, but you seem to come running to his defense all the time. Or, is it possible you like to mix it up with argh a little yourself.

Well, I pretty much enjoy mixing it up with anybody who makes bad arguments on here, although argh's bizarre sense of humor does make him a particularly fun poster to mix it up with. But I think BAC has proven plenty of times that he doesn't need anyone to come running to his defense on here, hasn't he?
Of course, if he wants to start sending me checks, I'll be happy to take them.

Hey now -- it's not my fault you chose the week I changed jobs to come to town, but I'm still back in Manhattan every night by 8:30; we could've met for a beer any night you wanted. Perhaps next time you should try PM'ing me instead of burying your post announcing the fact that you're in town on the fourth page of someone else's "Things to do in Orlando" thread?

Yeah, Hillary is pretty much grasping at whatever straws she can find at this point.
The way they've tried to spin things these past few weeks to justify staying in the race has been pretty entertaining, though. One of my favorites was last week, when her supporters were trying to characterize Indiana as a "tie-breaker" state in the race. Isn't that great? She was already losing by about 120 delegates, and everyone knew she was going to get her ass handed to her in North Carolina, but somehow Indiana is a "tie-breaker"??? Nice.
