that was the topic in this morning's local rag, prompted by the incredible season that chris paul has had for the new orleans hornets. so this columnist asked, "what are the greatest seasons ever crafted by a point guard?" he answered with the usual suspects--cousy '57, magic '80 and '87, frazier '70, nate archibald '73, oscar robertson '62, mo cheeks '83 and gary payton '96--but also on his list was our own micheal ray, new jersey nets, '84, with this comment:
"his life was a mess but this man could do anything on a basketball court. he simply TOOK the decisive game five in a first-round series, IN philadelphia against the defending champs, and the 76ers' fans still can't get over it."
