Thanks to GB1 for bringing this to my attention. I oppose Obama for some of the troubling things that have been revealed and the fact that he is a FAR lefty masquerading as a man for all the people to get elected. That's why I oppose him, not race.
It's sad and a shame race has been brought into this election and people who speak out against Obama are being labeled racists.
Ronbo, are you suggesting Obama is the only candidate who lies on a daily basis? You make it sound like you have a non-bias view towards all of the candidates, but in reality you were voting republican all the way because you are an uneducated voter who shouldn't vote. To think Obama is VERY Liberal is a joke. To view everyones lies or "misspeaks" go to factcheck.org, to get the scoop on all candidates. This isn't compiled by Fox News, so please don't discount it just because it isn't coming out of Hannity's mouth.

Please list the whoppers McCain has publically told?
I think when it comes to honesty and integrity between the two there is no contest. The only thing the Dems can think of is the big lie that McCain wants to fight a 100 year war. They are beating that lie to death. He said we may need to have a 100 year presence as long as no service men are getting killed similar to our presence in Japan and Germany.
Oh, and they are attacking him as being too old. Excuse me, that's a form of discrimination right there. It might backfire as the senior crowd votes in higher percentages than the 20-30 crowd.
He lies everyday about what Obama's intentions will be. He continues to fill the air with ignorant scare tactics so uneducated voters, such as yourself, will think we live in this great country and we will only continue to do so if the status quo continues. The idea of us staying there forever to "stabalize" the area is absurd. The only reasoning for this is profit and there is no reason we shouldn't vacate. McCain has 59 lobbyists raising money for his campaign, more than any of the other presidential candidates (http://thinkprogress.org/2008/04/02/mccain-black-lobbyist/), so of course he wants to stay in Iraq so company's like Haliburton, AMEC, Aegis, etc. will continue making record profits and sinking the US into debt that will be impossible to get out of.
Furthermore, McCain lies about being pro-environment. He scored a 0—yes, zero—from the League of Conservation Voters last year. (http://www.alternet.org/blogs/environment/77913/).
Ronbo, I would say these are some whopping lies. Thoughts?
PS.....
Although the senior crowd has voted in much larger numbers than the 20-30 somethings in the past, don't think that will continue into this election. Having record turnouts in many states doesn't suggest that more old people are voting.
Pat Buchanan said it best, he says McCain “will make Cheney look like Gandhi.”(http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601103&sid=a F28rSCtk0ZM&refer=us)

Lawrence,
I didn't check whether or not McCain gets a zero from the League of Conservation Voters, I will take your word for it. I am curious if you could question Obama when he runs political ads touting how he is all for the sportsman in Montana, yet he receives an F from the NRA. Isn't that precisely the same thing? I think it is fair to call McCain out, but please don't try and tell me Obama isn't guilty of precisely the same thing.
Just because a candidate wants some gun control, doesn't mean he doesn't support Montana's sportsman. Here is Obama's position on guns.
Provide some common-sense enforcement on gun licensing. (Jan 2008)
2000: cosponsored bill to limit purchases to 1 gun per month. (Oct 2007)
Concealed carry OK for retired police officers. (Aug 2007)
Stop unscrupulous gun dealers dumping guns in cities. (Jul 2007)
Keep guns out of inner cities--but also problem of morality. (Oct 2006)
Ban semi-automatics, and more possession restrictions. (Jul 1998)
Voted NO on prohibiting lawsuits against gun manufacturers. (Jul 2005)
This seems to be common sense stuff that should make America safer, NOT take away your precious guns. Do you actually fear losing your hunting gun?.....that is ridiculous.

So much for you addressing the question. Now back to the point I was making. The League of Conservation Voters has an agenda, just like the NRA does. If you are going to cite one (your choice) don't get all pissy when someone cites a group that differs from your viewpoint. Now leave your political viewpoint out of it, and just consider what I said. I am not debating the merits of either, which I thought was pretty clear, except maybe to those who have an agenda.
Most of the statements in the below para from a post of Lawrence are either so wrong or so biased, that nothing he says on this subject will be taken seriously by people like me. See my comments in brackets.
"He lies everyday about what Obama's intentions will be. [Let's have some specfics.] He continues to fill the air with ignorant scare tactics so uneducated voters, such as yourself, will think we live in this great country and we will only continue to do so if the status quo continues. [Let's have some specifics.] The idea of us staying there forever to "stabalize" the area is absurd. [How do you explain our continuing bases and presence in places like Korea, Germany and Japan?] The only reasoning for this is profit and there is no reason we shouldn't vacate. [This statement is so biased that I would rate it stupid.] McCain has 59 lobbyists raising money for his campaign, more than any of the other presidential candidates [So what? Lobbyists raise money for politicians all the time. That's part of their business.] (http://thinkprogress.org/2008/04/02/mccain-black-lobbyist/), so of course he wants to stay in Iraq so company's like Haliburton, AMEC, Aegis, etc. will continue making record profits and sinking the US into debt that will be impossible to get out of.
