Helena's Stuber at it again!

I can honestly say that this is probably one of the worst articles I have ever read in a sports section of a newspaper that is paid for. I thought Stuber was leaving the IR...if he wasn't, he should! Ridiculous.

Well, at least we know Quinns' suspension has been lifted.

Not a Pulitzer prize winner, but hardly worth getting exercised about. I've seen as bad in the Mazzolian.

I do not know what you are complaining about, the article seemed pretty light weight to me. You Griz need to get a little thicker skin.

I didn't see anything there getting too worked up over with regard to Quinn.

Much ado about nothing. That was not the most well written article, but I doubt the IR Publisher is too worried about it.

Mslacat, from what I hear you shouldn't talk about thin skin. I understand you could stand tightening some of yours up a tad. Can you say gym membership? :thumb:

No kidding. If Mslakitty spent as much time fundraising for the kitties as he does b*tching on egriz maybe the bobcat "quiet phase" would be over by now. On the other hand I'm thinking the "quiet phase" could turn into a quiet quarter century, much akin to their last 25 years worth of football seasons.

Seems like a stretch the way the Quinn reference appears out of thin air in this Stuber article with no transition whatsoever. "The Griz are in town holding a fundraiser and promoting their new stadium addition. And speaking of the Griz, they just had a guy plead to one DUI and get another one dismissed." Nice.

Well if the player puts himself into that situation again then YES it is going to get reported on. What do you think they are going to report on? Quinn has been in the news for the last 3 years for 2 separate schools!! It is good Hauck has an AD backing him because his track record has been terrible on some of the student athletes he has brought in.

Easy there, Wild_Cat. I'm not suggesting the Quinn episode should be off-limits or that the press should give us a pass on it. But if you read that entire article the reference is out of place and looks like a reach. Kind of like a gratuitous reference to the Kramer lawsuit would have been if Stuber had chosen to include one in the MSU section of the article.

he included msu's apr issue, too. first, talked about um's facility stuff, then msu's facility stuff. then he talked about msu's apr in a positive way, then the quinn stuff in a positive way (he had the suspension lifted). the story does bounce around, but it seems fair to me and it was informative. i'm glad to hear that jd isn't suspended anymore.

Alright, positive and negative for both schools. My bad, Wild_Cat was right. Carry on.

Exactly! I did not say anything about why I thought it was a badly written article thinking that most would pick up on it. But I honestly think it is about as elementary as they get. There is no need to mention anything about Quinn. If you are going to compare and contrast, fine, go with it, but don't bring out a point that is going to leave your side one up. But I don't think he has ever written an article that hasn't done that! Lousy!

Agreed. I was wrong to suggest he was singling us out for negativity.
