Stadium capacity?

Postby Ashamed on Fri Jun 13, 2008 8:14 pm

I have been looking and cannot seem to find the thread with the official staium capacity. Anybody know what the official number is and what will be the number when it is full full?

The official stadium capacity is listed at 23,117, compliments to http://www.montanagrizzlies.com/content ... .htm#about . After the recent East-side expansion, this number increased to approximately 25,117.

On special occasions this year, however, expect a sold-out Washington Grizzly Stadium to seat upwards of 26,000.

I'd bet 100 eGriz bucks that it doesn't happen 'til the last game of the regular season. :thumb:

Even though it's listed at 23,117 I read several times they pumped that up to 23,350 with the small bleachers they set up in the corners. Those aren't going away so I would say 25,350 would be the seating capacity next season. I predict 26,500 for the Griz/Cat game.

The playoffs are fun and exciting but tend to dissappoint on the attendance figures. We were averaging over 23,300 last year till the playoffs. The Wofford game dropped us to a 22,900 average for the season.

Thanksgiving weekend is alway a bad draw for a crowd. It brings down the average. No surprise there.

Correct! Yet be as it may, disregarding the first round, playoff anticipation is usually such that if Brawl adjustments (bleachers/standing room?) were to be reimplemented, record-opportunity would again present itself.

I digress ... rare makings, but SHS@Montana - 04 still remains in our top 10.

1. 24,018 vs. Montana State, 2006
2. 23,867 vs. Montana State, 2004

4. 23,732 vs. Eastern Washington, 2005

Well, the Griz could have a 1st round away game to keep our attendance figures up!!

In jest. But it's been established that if infrastructures reinstated, demand (smaller, nevertheless) would capacitate rivalry attendance. I ask, might anyone know why that is?

'Board sure is more meticulous from an insider's perspective, alas.
