Hey, if i'm wrong, and the Griz win the conference and progress into the playoffs with at least two wins, then i'll lavish praise on all of the "positive" posters. I hope it happens, because, even though it may surprise you, i'm just as much a die-hard GRiz fan as you are! I just saw some things last year that were very disconcerting to me, and I am skeptical that this tiger can change his stripes before next season. You see, unlike many of you, i've seen first-hand how a once-great football program can rapidly sink into mediocrity because of a bad coach hiring decision. You see, I am a big Ohio State fan, and had to live through 9 years of John Cooper, who always won7-9 games, went to a bowl, but couldn't beat Michigan, and could never inspire the Buckeyes to the elite level they enjoyed under Woody, before he spaced out! Look at Oklahoma, who languished for several years post-Switzer with a guy I can't remember, then had one devastating year under Howard Schnellenberger. The first post-Switzer coach didn't have a bad record.....he won 7-9 games a season......but the Sooners could never compete at the elite national level under him. So, eventually, he got replaced. Stoops now has the Sooner program solidly back to the Switzer level.
I just don't want that same thing to happen here....and don't think it can't happen! With every change in the head coach, there is always a risk of that coach not working out, and the program sinking.
Now, i'm VERY IMPRESSED so far with the recruiting results under Hauck. This could turn out to be the best POTENTIAL collection of recruits we've ever signed here. However, as has been stated before....recruiting 'em in, and coaching them to be a winning team are entirely different skills! You see, because i'm such a staunch Griz supporter, i'm fearful that we will sink into mediocrity. The Sooners knew after one year of Howie-baby that he wasn't the answer. Was any Griz fan really happy with Bobby's first year here? Many think he will miraculously do a 180 this season. I'm not nearly as sure! Being a great head coach ain't easy. You just don't decide to be one and it happens!
Oh, Jah-man. If you've followed my posts on the other board for a long time, then you'll realize that I stir the pot on purpose, to keep things interesting and in perspective. Many posters have figured it out....some still want to beat me up (literally).

Someone should PM AZGRIZ and tell him someone has access to his account and their posting things like:
