How about a visitors page. Would simply be a page with Griz friendly hotels, bars, restaurants with possibly a little write up, address, phone, etc. Maybe for motels you could run a distance search on one of the online map sites to get distance from downtown, and distance from the U.
There are all sorts of little items that could be on the page. Once put together it wouldn't take much to maintain the page.
Visitor's page is a great idea! You might want to contact the Chamber of Commerce to see if they would be interested in supporting a page of this type on eGriz
