Bush/Kerry debate

Who's the winner?

I didn't watch the whole thing (there was texas hold-em to be played), but I thought Bush looked flustered when retaliating to Kerry's answers. Kerry's answers were more fluent. In my opinion, Kerry seemed to be the winner.

The general consensus is that Kerry won on style. I agree. However, Bush won (and should have won soundly) on content. Bush sure let lots of "discrepancies" hang in the air.

My overall impression:
First 30 mins = Bush Won
Second 30 mins = Draw
Last 30 mins = Kerry won

I don't really support either of the candidates, however I'm strongly against one of them (and it's probably not the guy you first thought it would be). Somehow I trust Bush's judgment and motives much more than Kerry, who doesn't seem to have any convictions. Certainly, you must agree that Kerry seems to flap in the political breeze and while that might be okay for a president (i.e. Clinton) in certain times, it seems like a very dangerous trait in the president considering the world state of affairs. I just can't come to terms with Kerry voting for the war authorization... then voting against the funding. It seems as if he was willing to hinder support for the troops for his own political reason. THAT is why Kerry should not be elected in November.

Uh OH! Another Political debate on egriz!!

At least this one's under a political topic instead of something about cat fans.

Kerry looked good, and yes he let some things "hang" as ponezone said. But so did Bush. He said Saddam Hussein "Attacked us on 9/11" Kerry jumped on that b/c is was Bin Laden & Al Quaida. Also Bush reffered to Al Quaida once as "Folks". Folks?!? What's this guy thinking, terrorists aren't "folks"

In the last 30 min. Kerry had a strong finish that put in most people's eye's gave him the "win" although I'd hardly have to say that he "won" this debate. While Kerry kept drilling Bush, our president had a lot of "uhhh..." and "ummm...." remarks.

Bush better look out, with the debates shifting to the economy and social issues. Bush has some weakness here with a sluggish economy, and the constant cuts in education/police/fire/EMT budgets and benefits.

I'm looking forward to the VP debate, although I'd doubt not too many people would be watching. It'd be funny to see Edwards get under Cheney's skin, because well all know what happens when Cheney gets mad.... The "F" bomb! :o  :o
