I hated Paulsen's style of passive defense, but he was a GREAT recruiter in-state, and we have missed his ability to recruit Montana kids since he left.

I realize I seem negative, but a big part of it is just to create discussion on a morose board suffering from domination by a couple of wannabee comedian posters who do not talk football. They know who they are. So, I pick up the slack during down times. You'll have to admit that the board would be pretty Ho-Hum the past couple of weeks without me stirring the pot. I have to go to an appointment now, so I'll give you all of my positives when I return.

Seems to me the board runs and functions just fine and dandy during the lengthy periods you're band. I'm pretty sure Chris isn't going to shut the board down for lack of traffic if you happen to go away.

What's absolutely hilarious about you (and something you'll NEVER see or admit to) is that you view your role as the nattering nabob of negativity as "objectivity", and anybody who deigns to post a positive thought about an individual player, the team or the coaches is just an idiot sugar coater who never played the game.

I'm shocked because I found one thing I agree with Growler on! I too think the Griz are going to go 7-4 this season. Where I completely disagree with Growler is, I don't think going worst 7-4, best 8-3 with losses at Northern Iowa, NAU and EWU, means Stitt is the worst coach the Griz ever hired or Brady is the worst quarterback to ever play for the Griz. That's where Growlie and I don't see eye to eye. He sees football as completely black and white. I do not. I actually watch the games, and you know what, over my 20-plus years of watching the Griz, some of the teams that beat the Griz are actually GOOD. Some of them actually deserved to win. Some of them were even better than the Griz. I have no problem saying that. Even Growler's greatest idol, Don Read lost some games where, surprise surprise, the opposition was actually BETTER, or at least BETTER on that day. I suspect it will happen again this season, and Stitt doesn't need to be fired for it.

Both sides(Negativity and Sugar Coating) can be somewhat of an affliction but winning the BSC and going to the semi finals will go a long way in curing both......Spirio Agnew? Really?

I'm thinking more along the lines of: "it was a million to one shot, doc! There I was, tap dancing on a Vaseline covered tarp in my bare feet, just like I always do, when I slipped and fell butt first right onto a damned 60 watt lightbulb somebody must've left laying around. Million to one shot!"
