Looking at the sched UM will be favored in every game but possibly @App. State. or @ND. If UM goes to Appy and wins the griz might go 11-0

Mark SD, Liberty, NAU, NCU, Southern Utah, ISU as wins.
Leaves @App State, @EWU, @ND, @Weber as UM favored but on the road.
MSU I think they will be down a little this year but it is their "Superbowl".

9/1/2012 South Dakota
9/8/2012 @ Appalachian State
9/15/2012 Liberty
9/22/2012 Northern Arizona *
9/29/2012 @ Eastern Washington *
10/6/2012 @ Northern Colorado *

11/10/2012 Open
11/17/2012 Montana State *

I would really like to be as optimistic about the Griz as others but the effects of a new DC and OC are potentially big unknowns. Of course, based on recent performance, as in the last 20 years, a person would really be stupid to bet against the Griz to win the BSC again.

Agree. Someone earlier said MSU would have a "down" year? I suppose that's possible... but I wouldn't count on it. We have put up more wins, and upgraded our talent level every single year since Ash has been here, with 10 wins last season... and we return a good portion of our team. We'll have another season of only one, maybe two losses during the regular season. I don't think the griz will have a "down" year... but a lot of that hinges on your new OC and DC... plus you lose an unprecedented TEN STARTERS on your D? Don't tell me it won't take some time for the new guys to gel into another kick ass griz D. I think it will come down to the Cat Griz game again... as it should be. :thumb:

That's what they said about our offense last year. The number of underclassmen making an impact on defense was telling last year, the only position I have concerns with is CB.

I also like our odds at home at Cat-Griz. We won't give the game away again

Sorry, there's no way UND comes into the league in their first year and wins it.

As with nearly every other year it's Montana, followed by everyone else.

With Gregorak taking over as DC and Pflu having a heavy influence on the offense, I'm not too worried about the coordinator positions. As someone else pointed out, the bigger worry would be replacing 10 starters on D. Granted, a lot of underclassman got a lot of playing time last year, but there is still going to be an adjustment period.

I'm just wondering if you change your politically incorrect name once you become a member of the Big Sky. And will your delusion go away when you do? I have lots of respect for your program, but you might finish 5th.

This will certainly be an exciting year for the Big Sky. The new opponents will shake things up a bit & I hope that the staff will put in the extra work again this year!

1. Montana - I have questions about the efficency on defense with new coaches and 9 new starters
T-1. Montana St. - Loss of WRs and key defenders, but running game should be incredible
3. SUU - Sorensen might be the best QB in the Big Sky and one of the best in the FCS
4. NAU - Could this be the 1st year where NAU can succeed with both a stud RB and QB returning?
5. Weebz - Hoke is a dark-horse MVP candidate, I don't think they lost much to graduation either
6. CPSLO - Young team this last year that had its moments, should improve
7. UND - Won their last 4 but it looks like a few key players on O have graduated
8. EWU - Lots of losses on D and O including Peyton winning QB is a tall order to replace
9. PSU - 23 graduating seniors right? The defense will be ok, but that offense won't be as good as before
10. ISU - Kramer continued the "re-set" this off-season, 2012 lays the foundation but will be rough
11. Sac - 2011 "dream team" started good and fell apart, now they're rebuilding against
12. UCD - 4-7 last year... no clue about this team honestly.
13. UNC - Where else for the hapless Bears? Might be selling them short with year 2 of a new system.

What's with all of this love for CP across the boards?
Cal Poly does not play Montana, Montana State or Eastern Washington in conference games in 2012 (we do play EWU in a non-conference game).

DAMN, Slo! Christmas came early for you guys, huh?

This whole BSC scheduling is a joke. Montana has to play Ewoo and msu every year, and there are some years in which teams don't play any of the three?? That's just wrong.
