This is an UNNOFICIAL "depth chart" that I made up, not made to be 100% accurate at all, just put to gether to put some perspective (distribute the players). Basically, I think it's easier to see how the team looks when you put them at postions rather than a numerical roster, is all.

RS-FR - 14 Offense + 8 Defense + 1 ST = 23

That's 29 upperclassmen. 64 underclassmen (or 41 active underclassmen if you take out all of the 23 true freshman--as most will redshirt, but some will play, so that 41 active underclassmen will certainly grow).

The Griz are young. Only 2 Seniors on defense.

After looking at everything, I think 2012 will be a good year, but 2013 (on paper) is shaping up to be a certain title contender year.

Where is the new QB?

Why is GK still on that list? Has he been reinstated and I missed it?

My guess is that he has been suspended and not dismissed from the team...hence still technically on the team

He received an internship through Bill Walsh's Minority Internship Fellowship Program. Not a permanent coaching position. Should bring back some great experience to share with our young WR's. :thumb:

That frequently happens at big D-1 schools because there aren't enough numbers to go around. They are usually one offensive and one defensive player, though. Having two DB's listed at the same number is bizarre.

Even though the Griz are stacked at running back, I'm excited to see Nelo Return. Could contribute this season and be a main component the next 3.

I don't understand doubling up when there are numbers that go unused. Are those the retired #'s? (Like DD's)?

The only retired #'s at Montana are 15 for DD and 22 for Terry Dillon.
